Introduction:
This double suction pump product is foot mounted, single-stage and double suction with axial split structure.
Its inlet flange and outlet flange are arranged at the lower part of the body, paralel with the axis. Therefore, the rotor can be easily taken out for overhaul, unnecessary to remove pipes, valves and motor.

- If you use a fountain spray you can add air by spraying water up in the air and letting it fall back into the pond. The best solution is to buy a pond aerator. They are available on line and at some garden centers. .
- Q: When replacing the water pump in a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. Old one is loose, I'm about to lower the engine a little to get the water pump out. Before putting the new one on, do I have to do anything with the timing belt/chain?
- Depends on the engine size . If the pump is driven by the timing belt then yes , if the pump is driven by the serpentine belt then no .
- Q: My water pump in my pontiac bonneville 99 went bad, and while I was in the navy, in aviation fuels, some of my job consisted of repairing pumps and valves, and rebiulding them all together, and this water pump from my car seems to have some of the same features of previos pumps i've worked on, usualy when i use to repair pumps, most of the time i just replaced the bearings, just wondering if its do-able, im looking for the cheapist way to fix this, the casing for the pump seems to be in very good condition, but havent got it out of my car yet, im short on tools right now for the moment... thanks in advance for any help...
- Don't bother. Water pumps fail on this motor all the time and replacements are plentiful and cheaper than dirt. I won't even use rebuilt water pumps in my shop - we only install new ones because they are much more reliable and the cost difference is literally only a couple of bucks.
- Q: Ok, so I have a 1997 3.8 liter ford mustang. I was driving home from work the other day, when temp gauge started to go up. I brought it to mechanic, and he said it was a bad water pump, due to bad antifreeze. So I am getting a new pump, and an antifreeze flush. My question is that since it overheated, will there be any damage to the engine? The temperature gauge never hit the red, and smoke never came out. I had to drive it for approx 15-20 miles when it started to overheat, and the temp gauge was bouncing from hot to normal.
- Depending on how long you overheated your car and how hot it was.
- Q: I keep having to add water to. Doesn't do anything when it's sitting up. But after you drive it straight for about 25 minutes. Time to add some more water. I figure it's the water pump. It's not leaking anywhere so it has to be a failing water pump. Oil still looks good, no smoking. AC and heater blows fine. Just runs hot after a while. I need another opinion. - Because it doesn't drip when it's just sitting shows you that it doesn't leak untill it's hot pressurized. So, drive it until the temp is 'normal', then stop but leave the engine running see if you can find the drip with the engine hot. Also, the water pump is not a 'normal' source for lost coolant - More likely a lose hose clamp....

I changed the line into the lake as it had a air leak and lost it.'s prime.I have filled water back into the tank and lines .several times. And it hasn't caught it's prime. - Q: I installed a circulating pump in the far bathroom, since the length to the water heater made for a long wait. It takes 25 seconds for the hot water to arrive, which means 25 seconds of hot water wasted, once the water is shut off.Is it cheaper to, selectively(2 settings on timer) run the pump, or just wait on the hot water? And without the consideration, that time equals money. I imagine the more people that use it, the more efficient it gets.
- Depends on what is considered efficient. Is running the circulating pump efficient on the hot water end, but not on the electricity. To me a circulating pump is best efficient when you add a return line back to the water heater via the cold water input. Also needed in this routing is 2 flow control units, 1 at the end of the bathroom return line prior to the cold water input. And 1 above the bathroom return on the cold water line. Then by running the circulating pump for 1 minute per hour you will have hot water almost instantly. Or just cap off the hot prior to the sink an add a instant hot water heater just for the sink I would of first tried pipe insulation, or even a pipe wrap with a heating tape to keep the pipes warm.

- The reason you are being told to change both at the same time is because the tear down is almost exactly the same to do both of those actions. It's highly recommended that you change both because you are probably gonna pay for 5 hours labour to change the timing belt then you are gonna pay for another 5 hours of labour when you take you car back to change the water pump, whereas had you simply changed the water pump at the same time it would have only added about 45 minutes of labour to the total labour... Do both at the same time or don't bother doing any till you can afford both!
