Q: my check engine light is on and when auto-zone scanned it, it came up as transmission, well I need to get the hoses in my transmission changed but I was just wondering if that would cause the light to go on. Also my battery light is on and I‘m getting the alternator belt changed this weekend, would that cause my battery light to come on? THanks so much. I have a 97‘ plymouth breeze with a 2.0 engine.: A transmission leak would cause transmission failure! It is entirely comprehensible that transmission failure, may cause transmission codes to appear. If your alternator belt has failed, causing your battery light to come on, you probably won't make it more than one or two very short trips. Ps. Good luck!

Q: well i am seeing that everyone is saying that we are only required to pay liability. basically pay the damages you inflict on the other car. The Auto Insurance system is backwards then. Why are we paying to cover the other persons damages, wouldnt it make more sense if the person pays X amount of money every month to cover their own asses? that would mean that if i chose to not have insurance and i happen to get in a wreck then that was my choice and if the person i hit was smart enough and payed for insurance to cover themselves then what would be the problem with that?what are your thoughts?: You don't really understand how car insurance works. The insurance covers other cars that were damaged as a result of your negligence. If both drivers have coverage, then the costs are paid by the insurance policy of the driver at fault for the accident. In the situation you described, the other person's insurance would cover that person, then sue you personally to collect the damages that you inflicted upon their client and in turn, them. You would still be on the hook for those damages in the long run, only this time with a court order and all of the money to cover the damages is coming out of your personal pocket. If you are uninsured and cause an accident that totals a $30,000 car and inflict 10,000 in damages, you have to pay all $40,000 out of your pocket, and once the other driver and his insurance company have their court judgment, they can garnish your wages, place liens against your personal property and home (if you own one), and destroy your credit score.

Q: This morning my Highlander (has about 80,000 miles on it) started beeping at me ((the noise when you leave a door open, or don‘t have your seatbelt on). I looked and my gas light is on. Underneath it, it says Fuel Door. It‘s also now making a kind of rumbling bumping noise whenever I start or turn off the engine, and it stalled a bit when I tried to drive out of a parking lot.I have three quarters of a tank and I unscrewed/rescrewed the gas cap on and it still says it. I haven‘t noticed that my gas has been getting used up any faster than normal, so I don‘t think it‘s leaking.Do I need to get to an auto repair shop ASAP? Can it wait a day? What‘s wrong with my car?: I'll take a jab at this and say the following: You're describing all sorts of weird symptoms. but what you should do is find a manual and see if the flashing of that particular light is ALSO indicative of any failure in your fuel delivery system. Now, I was going to go with something electrical, but when you mention that the vehicle stalled, that coupled with some fuel light being on -- you've just indicated that the vehicle is STARTING to experiment fuel delivery failure. I'm gonna go with 3 things: First check your fuel relay in the fuse box. From there, you might have to deal with your fuel filter. from there, your fuel pump. As that light MAY also be indicative of any of these three malfunctioning. The rumbling that you're hearing is likely your fuel pump kicking in and/or your computer coming on and off -- wild guess! You might have gotten bad gas in the car -- Or, a neighbor might have done you dirty, lmao :-). In any event, get your vehicle's manual to start with and see what else that light is associated with. So Can Anyone Help Me Please?!!: For the traction there is a button on the gear shifters tip. You can't miss it and probably accidently hit it when putting your car in drive. The ac panel in our cadillacs has the ability to set different temperatures for the passengers. Uncheck the button and it will make the entire car the same temp. My 2000 does not use synthetic oil so I would check into that if I were you. Hope I helped.

Q: Ok. i have been hearing some things on here like: i will have to get a new alternator, battery and 1/0 awg wire for a system thats amp is pushing out 900w rms at 2 ohms. However, i have went to 2 very reputable local auto shops and they have both said that my current set up will be fine for 900w rms, no doubts. my car is a 96 civic ex, with stock alternator, basic battery, and 4 AWG wiring that i was told was good up to 1000w rms. Keep in mind these are very reputable local shops. So, my question is basicly, whos full of shiit and whos not?: You went to the local auto shops and asked them? Being truthfull they're not going to help much but yeah you should be ok if the car is going if the off and your doing parking lot listening than your car will die in like 10 minutes if you dont do a lot of parking lot listening just upgrade the cable 2 o guage wire
