Very important in getting focused shots, particularly in dim light. 2) larger LCD monitor. Avoid frustration from having to try to make out details on a small screen. 3) larger viewfinder: makes it easier to compose. 4) improved kit lens with IS All of these things together make the 450D a better value--you'll get more keepers. Any one alone might not be enough, but taken together, it makes the price difference inconsequential. If I were Canon, I'd cut the Canon 350D, keep the 400D and cut the price, and add the 450D.

The fault code could be a malfunction in the system, or a perceived malfunction because of a surge or sudden loss of power in the electrical system. (Like front jump starting with cables reversed, etc.). Only way to know for sure is to have it scanned. You can't get access to the codes with one of those b.s Auto zone code readers. You need a Snap-On MODIS or equivalent. BEWAREAir Bags will not work properly (or possibly at all), when light is illuminated.

Q: I just bought a 92 mazda mx3 gs manual and the check engine light pops on then off every now and then while I‘m driving it. What could be causing this?: There is a code being tripped by something under the hood that is doing that and then correcting itself for a bit. If the car's running okay otherwise, I've found the most common thing that does this is an 02 sensor. Since they rely on a 'count' system that has to agree with the 'count' produced by the next 02 sensor inline, then the code trips and then when you're driving they tend to 'agree' with each other later. I have a couple of vehicles that do this and even after changing the sensors I still get an intermittent light that comes on. If you want to verify that there is a code tripped, you can have your checked for free at those discount auto parts places. They'll let you know what the code says if it is still in the computer on your car.

Q: i have a 1994 Plymouth Acclaim with a 4 Cyl Motor and the Check Eng light comes on after i start driveing it for a few miles after the motor worms up really good. so i tho it needed a tune up so i replace the Plugs Wires cap and rotor and new air filter. so it still did the same thing took it to auto zone and they told me it was the inline fuel filter so i replace that and i just put a new fuel pump in to cus i tho maybe that was it but it still dose it. i been useing fuel cleener and that don‘t help. what could it be?? please help.: More than likely it is one of two or three things. 1. The O2 sensor - i.e. oxygen sensor 2. The EGR valve - i.e. inert gas recirculation valve 3. or something in your emissions system The best way to find the actual problem is NOT to just start swapping parts rather have a mechanic read the code or codes that the on-board computer has recorded. Or, you can buy a code reader at an auto parts store and do-it-yourself, just follow the manual. Hope this helps.

Never replace anything based solely on the report from a code reader or scanner. These devices are very helpful but cannot determine whether a component is defective or just dirty. Clean and test all suspect components then have the codes that you've addressed cleared from the computer by an auto parts store.

I will echo the warning that your catalytic converter is not the top suspect. The youngest converter I have seen that was bad was 18 years old and was on a car with a carburetor. Get it diagnosed and fixed rather than throwing money at it. I have never seen a car with a P0420 code (catalyst efficiency below threshold) that needed a new catalytic converter. Sometimes putting a new converter on will make it enough better for the light to go away for a few months, then it comes back. Fix the cause, not the symptom.
