Q: 06 tiburon auto transmission pulls hard check engine light on and off stalls at a stop or light what is it???: well the stalling on a light or stop could be your fast idle east to fix. Now the pulling hard could be your alignment is out. and the check engine light could be alot of stuff fix the other problems first then take it in for the engine light.

Q: ok so recently my car will not hold a charge. i have to jump start it every morning before work. they tested it at auto zone and said the battery tested ok and the alternator was over charging (140 i think amps?) but after completely replacing the alternator its still doing it. its fine if im driving but when i hit my brakes or turn on my turn signal it drains the battery really fast and i have to floor it to charge back up. my bright light completely kill the car as soon as i hit the switch. and my dome lights keep staying oni cant get them offalso when i hit my turn signal all the lights in the car flash with them. today we found a slice in the battery cable. it was pretty bad but we fixed it as best as we could and taped it tightly. any suggestions as to what this could be? i deliver pizzas and need a decent running car. its a 1996 pontiac bonneville seit has the 3800 if that matters. i wasted money on the alternator so i dont want to buy a new bat unless i know thats it: Just from the first few lines you have a Battery Alternator Problem! 1; Battery: if it's 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 Years Old or looks Swollen (Shorted) on the Sides Replace It. Dealers will have this equipment, many independent shops can't afford it. So, bite the bullet and take it in. PS No, your car does not have an air pump.

Q: My check engine light came on, so I went to auto zone to have it checked. The guy said I had a small leak. He said to check certain things but I forgot most of them. The car may very well run just fine. These are not the easiest types of codes to repair. even for a qualified mechanic. My suggestion. to be honest. unless the car is running rough, or you start burning a lot of fuel (due to the PC trim) I wouldnt worry about it. That or take it in. if you do not know what a EVAP can is (Most vehicles it looks just like a soup can) then you'll never get this. run it down the road, or run it to your mechanic. Good Luck!

Every manufacturer puts them on the charcoal canister, near the gas tank. Diagnosing the evap system on a car can be a pain even with the right tools, so keep that in mind when you are not successful. Just make sure you have a good gas cap seal and no cracked hoses at the charcoal canister before you start tossing parts at this. Otherwise, you might be consumed by the very ill-tempered sea bass.

Q: i have a viper alarm/auto start system in my 88 crx and it stoped working.i was pulling my insterment cluster out and thats were it was located and i unhooked everything so i could pull my cluster out.after i was done i put everything back the next morning i tryed my auto start and nothing my alarm is still working.its just my auto start i dont have the manual or anything beings that the arlarm came with my car when i bough it.any help would be great thank you.: Auto-start has lots of interlocks and any one of them will keep the starter from working. My daughter's has error codes that blink on the parking lights (hers is saying the disable toggle switch is off, but she can't find the switch). You will have to search for the user's manual for the model you have to decipher the code.

Q: I have a 1997 Plymouth Breeze with the 2.0 four cylinder engine. The light came on over the weekend and I took the car straight to Auto Zone for a scan of the OBD2 system. The only code that registered was P1494, I called the chysler dealership and they said it was a leak in the evap system. Most likely cause was a loose or missing gas cap. I checked for this, and even went to the expense of buying a new one. After the new cap was installed, I had the code erased. I reset my trip meter and drove about 90 miles and the light came back on. I‘ve had a mechanic check the lines and hoses running from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister and then to the engine. All were tight and in good shape. I was also told by the dealership that the leak detection pump might be bad. This is a small vacume pump that keeps a constant vacume to the evap system. My Haynes manual shows this pump, but my mechanic says there isn‘t one on my car. I‘m now being told the problem is my O2 sensors??????: it could be your O2 Sensor maybe. The only way to find out is to replace it have the code erased and see if it comes back on. It could also be the actual evap system sensor it self that triggers that check engine light is malfunctioning. See if you can find the leak detection pump your self. If you can try replacing that as well by your self if not show your mechanic this pump. There is no way to find out what the actual problem is until it's fixed you are just going to have to do one thing at a time to figure it out.

I haven't had any problems since disabling the updates. You might need to do a system restore and then disable the updates and simply choose the files yourself to update.
