Q: I have burned holes in my rug that need repaired. I have a piece of the same rug. Can this be repaired eaisly.....or best to call repair service.: Cut a square piece of the rug out. Take an old pair of jeans. Cut out a square 1 bigger on all sides as the cut square of the rug. Use Elmers glue and glue the jeans square to the subflooring then put glue on the top of the square. Cut a piece of the carpet from the piece that you have the same size as the first square you cut out. Place it on top of the blue jeans square and press down to make sure it is totally catching the glue. Voila!

Q: Please define a "RUG" ?: I would say that a rug is a peice of carpet that can be moved from one area to another, such as an area rug. Typically, you'd use an area rug in a living room (under a coffee table) or in a dining room (under the table) or other various places. A mat would be like a door mat (indoor or outdoor) or a bath mat. Carpet would typically be installed and unable to be moved from one area to the next.

Q: It's a latex based paint, and a nylon carpet. Anyone have any tips on getting it out? The carpet is a gray color. Thanks so much :): Paint thinner and acetone won't work...it will just work the paint deeper into the carpet. However, you can usually remove paint spatter with scissors. Often spatter is just on the very tips of the fibers. If this is the case you can just snip the paint off with sharp scissors. Just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to do just one or two fibers at a time...not a whole clump. And dissect the spills first by cutting them in half or thirds, so that you separate clumps. This will work unless you have already used a solvent and have worked the paint into the carpet. Also...cutting the spatter on shag or plush carpet, but not Berber or loopy carpet. Good luck. - It worked for me

Q: I just bought this big wool shag Rug.. and its really nice except it shedding..there is red hair balls everywere... on the floor...on my cloths ...its almost like having a big red dog that sheds constantly! what can i do ? is there something to spay on it ? someone suggested to me to use hairspray???... any advice?: Let me know when you find a solutions, because I have one too. Just don't walk on it. It will not shed if nobody touch it. It is good for looking, not practical. And you can't use vaccum on it, got take it outside to beat it.

Q: What rugs do I need to get for my horse? Like what makes and how much?: For winter you need a heavyweight turnout rug for the cold, especially if your horse is fine or been clipped. In autumn and spring you should have a lightweight rug for variable weather and its not too extreme - can be used on thick or hairy horses in winter. The obvious stable rug will be different weights for different horses from lightweight fleeces to duvets. A stables horse is cooler than one turned out! Summer sheets are not waterproof but to keep the horse cleaner). New Zealand rugs are often waterproof and can be waxed as they're a thick canvas material. They are very strong, practically indistrucable and many owners use them as a all round year rug. Cooler rugs are for exercised horses and take the moisture away and can be put under a turnout rug or as a stable rug on colder days. FLEECES! Are very versatile and can be many colours and designs. Used as; a cooler, travel rug, under turnout or stable rug. EVERY HORSE SHOULD HAVE ONE. Can get different sizes in all rugs and high necked ones if it slips. Horse ware is my all time favourite! I would recommend it but there's also Derby house, Masta and Fal pro which are also decent. Hope this helps! :)

Q: Someone that moved in with me recently broke the wireless internet adapter to my computer and since I haven't figured out how to fix it I think it may be easier for me to just run a wire from the router to my computer. The problem is that the router is on the xbox in my room and the computer is in my living room 30 feet away. I am getting a 50ft Ethernet cable but I don't want to run it straight across my floor and plan to run it through my basement. I have hardwood floors in my room and there is already a hole to my basement there but my computer is over stretched carpet. I am wondering if I can put a small hole less than 1 inch in the carpet without damaging it or creating a spot that will wear more quickly.: ricks answer is good. you can also cut a slit with a razor, put a cut down straw into the slit and drill thru that to avoid the drill snagging the carpet
