Q: Hi everyone,I attempted to build my first PC; purchased the hardware, software, etc. Everything is assembled perfectly. After installing the motherboard, power supply and the respective cards, I connect the power cable.Upon connecting the power cable, the PC turns on and the only way to turn it off is to remove the power cable (from the back of the PSU). The PC boots up as if I pressed the power button!!I've read that this problem could be the power supply or the capacitors on the board??I'd be appreciative for any advice,Thanks,p
Hmm that sounds like you have missplaced the cables to the motherboard from the front pannel (on switch, HDD led etc.) Kenny
Q: Hi I have a 94 Cadillac Deville 4.9L and im trying to figure out with cable on my alternator is the power cable and which one is the ground. I have included a pic to help.
There is NO GROUND WIRE!!!! see the bat on the alternator next to the 1/2 nut? that means battery..... ADDED: Oh.....son of a gun, there is a ground wire....That's redundant...
Q: It's provided to me by my ISP which is Cox. If I were to unplug the power cord what would happen, would my phone no longer work without another technicians appointment. I know that the motorola cable modem with no phone service you can power cycle that one.
With my Cable company it's the first thing you do (or the first thing tech support tells you to do) when there is any problem. It is set up to restart after power failures and brownouts, so I would say go ahead. If the phone doesn't work after you power cycle, Power cycle again and see if that time works.
Q: I bought a LG Plasma TV, it comes with 3 Ferrite cores, two of them is a little bigger than the diameter of the power plug and it's not tight on it and one is small, is it effective to but the bigger one one the power cable?
They should be tight or glue to the cable. Many cheap made products ignoring this simple process to speed time consume to produce more. Because those workers were paid by piece work.
Q: I know Ethernet cable is much more susceptible to electromagnetic interference than fiber optic cable, but is fiber completely immune to it? I want to wrap a fiber optic cable around a 230 volt power line going through my attic for about 150 feet. Will this cause problems?
Hi There, The 220 volt AV power cable will not cause any interference but it is not a good idea. The fiberoptic cable should be ran separate. It is a little more work but the right way to route the cable. You have to be very careful not to exceed the bend radius and wrapping around an existinf power wire might cause a problem. =====this is from the link below======= Do not install a fiber optic cable in a conduit or duct that already contains cabling, regardless of the cable type. Existing or new empty ductwork can be modified to accept several different installations by the placement of innerduct within it. ======================================... Hope this helps, Al
Q: i have pentium iii cpu.unexpectedly i disconnected my power cable from power button.the power cable consists four color(red, black, white, blue) and in my power button it has four(p1,p2,1,2) pins.i don't know which colour is opt with this pins uld you plz help me...
Find out the make/model of your motherboard. Go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and download the user manual for your motherboard. In this manual there should be a page (or pages) illustrating where the various headers and connectors are on your motherboard.
Q: Beginner cost, do not know how the calculation of power cable works, is directly from the drawings on the amount of it?
Fire paint is esterified by epoxy resin plant acid, respectively, with iron oxide red, iron oxide black, zinc yellow and other pigments and physical paint grinding, and adding driers, to, butanol modulation
Q: I have a ZXi8008 and there's a cable that goes out to the head unit to turn on the amplifier, which is different than the power cable. But in this car, i have not installed a new head unit. Where do I hook up this cable otherwise? It needs a constant power supply to be on.
i would hook it up to the power cable from ur stero that whay the amp will only come on when the radio comes on. that way u wont drain ur battery, thats if ur talking about the remote cable
Q: My ISP had installed an outdoor antenna from where a white RJ45 cable runs into a little white box (which is plugged into AC outlet) and from the same white box i do have another RJ45 jack plugged into my laptops NIC card. I came to know that the white ethernet cable is Power over Ethernet cable which carries the power as well as data. I just want to know if i can plug that ethernet directly into my laptops NIC card ? Can i do that will there be any harm to my laptop's NIC ??
It sounds like your ISP is using an Axcelera (I don't remember the exact spelling) radio. The ac power powers the radio over the cable going to the antenna, but that power is separated from the cable going to your computer. It is completely safe.
Q: I have a USB powered external hard drive. The cable that came with it has to plug-ins for the PC. I know the fat one provides power so I use that one. I would like to know what the other skinny one is for.I have seen other people plug both in when using it and it worked fine for them. I am using just the fat one and it works fine for me. I would just like to know the reason for having both on a cable.
to give the end user another alternative to connect the drive to the pc if there is no usb slot available or free
