Q: Alright, im most likely moving to Germany in December, and im bringing my PS3 over with me. That I bought here in the US.. Is it possible for me to buy the power cable for a PS3 that works in Germany and plug it into my current PS3, or will it short it out?: Hmm i think of I had a similar difficulty as quickly as I did it... So far I've got the 3 RCA cables ran, along with the blue remote turn-on wire along the right side of my truck. You could twist the entire conductors together and be good up to about forty amps with three 12 gauge wires. The obstacle with amplifiers is present now not voltage. The thicker the wire the extra present it's going to manage. Most any wire you purchase is rated at least 120V. Determine what measurement fuse the amp requires, whether it is greater than 30 to 40 amps i would buy the correct size single wire for the amp. Additionally, fuse the wire at the battery. Fireplace shouldn't be our friend. :)

Q: Does the Corsair CX series CX500W PSU come with an AC power cable?: I all my years, I've yet to see a power supply that doesn't come with a new power cable. Thing is, tho, the power cable is standard in 99.9% of power supplies. One will pretty much work on another.

Q: I have a hp laptop from south asia. The adapter connects with the laptop and the power cable. The power cable has a 3 round pin plug which says 6A 240V~. On the hp adapter for the input it says: 100-240V~ 1.6A 5-60Hz. It also says Connect Only to Grounded outlets.Now I am in canada. All i know is that here they have 120 V in normal power plugs. Also they have 1 round and 2 rectangular pins to plug in the outlet.I bought this adapter which basically connects the 3 round pin plug into the adapter and the adapter has 3 canadian pins. The thing is that it says 250V 10A on the adapter. So I am not sure if it will hurt my laptop if I use it. I am a bit confused because Canada has 120V and the adapter accepts 250V. The HP adapter has a range from 100-240V. Will this be ok to use since the HP adapter will just convert the 120V into the proper output for the laptop or do I need one the expensice Voltage converters for the laptop?: yes it will be fine

Q: i have a modular power supply i lost my cables moving out of my old house. so can any one tell me where i can get new ones to my power supply:: I don't think you can, really... Modular power supplies come with cables, they are not one size fits all, every brand and even every model might have different cables and plugs. Contacting the manufacturer will be your best bet, but it might not be worth it, might as well just buy another power supply, it's only another $45 shipping and all.

Q: the power cable is in 2 parts, one from the xbox to a box, from the box to the wallthat box has an led light. when the xbox is on, it should turn green, when the xbox is off it should turn orange. my led light is turning red instead of orange and green.its not red ring of death, or 4 red rings, i know this because my xbox wont even power up because the box in the power cable will not send power to my xbox. im so confused...plz help: It just means that the rectangle thing that connects to your xbox is unplugged from the brick, thats all, nothing to worry about.

Q: I just plugged a 300V power cable into power supply that accepts 115-240V then turned on the power supply. The power supply was not connected to the motherboard. I don't have another cable so I can't really check if its still working nor do I want to try again with the 300V cord if it can potentially cause damage.: Where did you get a 300V power source? Why would you plug a 115-240V power supply into it? Didn't you need some sort of adapter to plug a pc power cord into 300 volts? Or was it just an ordinary power cord with 300V stamped on it? If that was the case, that would be the maximum safe voltage for the cord.

Q: I never expected this problem,but I have an HP with a liteon power supply.The thing has these weird clips on the power cables that go into the hard drive.How do I free the hard drive power cables? I have to put in a new power supply for my video card.: SATA just pulls out.. actually so does molex connectors (for IDE drives).. just very tough sometimes to get them out. If its black and kinda thin, then its probably SATA and they should just pull straight out.
