- Q: Yesterday my son's preschool teacher decided to break her contract and quit in the middle of the day. Not only that, but she just walked out and left 15 four year olds alone in the room. Thank goodness another teacher saw her leave and took over until the administrators were informed. The school is considering pressing charges. If they don't, can I? It seems to me that leaving a bunch of small children alone in a room is child endangerment or neglect or something. Needless to say, Im mad, and so is everyone at the school. I think they're going to press charges. But if they don't, I want to know my options.
- Yes you can press charges. As a parent and involved party you need to make a police report and Demand they take action. Do not be nice about this as this idiot needs any credential she posseses to be jerked. In the event the police advise you cannot press charges do a few things, one, demand (be a *****) an explanation as to why supported by department policy and then personaly see the County District attorney and again demand they pursue the matter' I sense you will not have any roadblocks as this type case is a political bomb waiting to go off.
- Q: I would like to press a purple carnation I got 3-4 days ago. I would prefer to press it onto just a piece of normal printer paper. What would be the best way to press my carnation (w/out getting any books dirty!)? I've never pressed a flower before, so I need all the details - should I cut off them stem, should I press the flower on its side or on its center, etc. Thank you (and yes, I will be marking someone as having the best answer - 10 points baby!) And yeah, I know this is a weird question :P
- I have pressed flowers in the past with good results. Copy paper will do. You can either trim some of the stem or leave as is (as long as it's manageable). Place it on its side between two sheets of copy paper and place something heavy on top. I would suggest to use something like a manila folder on top the copy paper---then put a book on top or something else that's heavy. Leave it undisturbed for awhile. I am not sure at least a month---maybe more. I still have pressed flowers that I have had for 10+ years. Good luck!
- Q: The military says they fight for freedom of the press but at the same time the military says it wants the free press out of Iraq. The military says the press hurts the war effort.
- We want the free press out because they have no business there. They all put their own spin on things and report what they think/feel rather than what actually takes place. For instance, we had an embedded reporter with us in Afghanistan and when she left us and published her story she focused on ONLY the bad things that took place. Not once did she mention the humanitarian missions we did or any other good acts. All she focused on was our attitude toward the people and things we were saying while on patrol making us look worse than the taliban themselves.
- Q: I'm planning to open a shop on cafe but I want to know about deliveries. Do you have to bring the products to a post office and deliver them yourself? Or is it delivered for you?

- Q: Im doing a Physics project, where I have been asked to create a hydraulic press. It must use pistons and syringes will not suffice. However finding the right guides to building such a thing has been a hassle. Anyone have any insight? Pictures demonstrating what needs to be done also would be of great help. Thanks!
- I suggest that you go to google and search the image section for a basic hydraulic press, to get a 'view' of the simplicity and complexity of a presses,,,,,then attempt the following:: Build yourself a very strong(steel) rectangular framework... Then, using either a 'hydraulic bottle jack', or parts of a hydraulic car lift jack to be the pressing element. You need to attach the jack to one end of the rectangular framework, then as you apply hydraulic pressure(hand pumping the jack) the cylinder's rod will extend and press against the other end of the framework. This press can squeeze whatever you place between the rod and the end of the framework....modify as necessary to press something IN or OUT. This is a very basic beginning.....good luck ...If you have access to hydraulic and air cylinders, along with either high pressure oil pumps, or high pressure air supply, you can build a sophisticated unit, approaching a more realistic press.
- Q: iam looking for a calculation or the difference between doing a bench press on a leverage bench vs a regular bench , for example i have a powertech leverage bench , if i have 300 lbs on it including the 30 lb U shaped bar that holds the wieght, and i lift it, whats the difference in actual wieght lifted compared to doing it on a regular flat bench, calculating the fact that you start at the bottom position on a leverage bench and there is no need for balancing the wieght like on a regular bench, and the difference in the angle in which you push up the wieght on a leverage bench, i know 300lbs on a leverage bench is not the same as doing 300lbs on a reular bench, does anyone know any websites or know themselves the ratio's or the difference in each is....like if you can do 300lbs on a leverage bench does that mean you can really only bench 230 on a regular bench..etc etc
- There is no difference in the weight. 300 Ibs is 300 Ibs. The difference lies in the range of motion. The leverage bench is a machine. The bench press uses a barbell, which is a free weight. The answer lies in your statement calculating the fact that you start at the bottom position on a leverage bench and there is no need for balancing the weight like on a regular bench. The balancing is the important part. On a regular bench press, you are using your secondary supporting muscles to help lift the weight, which in turn strengthens those muscles, and makes you stronger all around. Form is the so important, and on a regular bench press, you really have to work to keep your form. On a machine, there isn't any work, the machine does the form for you. The big problem with regular bench presses also lies with the benefits. If one isn't strong enough, they can really hurt themselves. Some people over use or focus more on the secondary muscles to lift the weight, and that can cause injuries. But, to be fair, someone can do the same thing on a leverage bench, it is just much harder to do. I dunno, but I've always found the machines to be much easier. The machines do isolate the muscle very well, and even some secondary muscles get worked (like the triceps) but no where near the extant of the regular bench press. Isolation is good and important, but strength is always the most important (That's why we work out!). I really can't explain why the leverage bench seems easier, but it just does. Probably more support from the bench/machine/bar, less balancing etc when using the machine. Both are good, but I prefer the regular bench press (flat, incline, and decline) IMHO. I really only use machines sometimes after the bench to get a good isolation of the muscle, but that is rare. Good luck. Oh, and do push ups! Lots and lots of push ups! Best exercise ever!
- Q: I see electric drill press ad's and of course different sizes are available. There are 10,1216 etc. what specifically are these measurements refering to ?
- Distance from the center of the chuck to the edge of the post. That is, how far into a board you can drill
- Q: And how old are you and weight? i'm just curious
- I haven't maxed on anything in a while, a little stronger now but my most recent 1RMs are: bench - 370 squat - 555 curl - gotta go with Mr. P on this one, no one maxes on curls and that's inviting injury barbell mil press - not something i've maxed on but i would hazard to say probably around 200-205, i can rep out 155 10 times to the chest. weight 222-223
- Q: Does anyone own the cookie press from pampered chef? How do you like it? Are there any issues you have with it?
- I know a few people who have the same problem. Contact pampered chef and tell them, or get your money back!!
- Q: Hi I wanna start working out because I wanna build my self image the problem is im a little nervous and shy about going to the gym because Im built like a twig so I was thinking about investing my money in a bench press would it be possible to build muscle with just a bench press??
- Yes you can build muscle with just a bench press but I would not recommend only doing the bench press. If you are planning on doing bench press make sure you moderate on days so you can relax your muscles, and new tissue can be built. Try to keep bench press to 2 - 3 days a week max. I highly recommend doing push-ups and sit-ups. They build your body, and even if you can't do many just start out slow. Then add more push-ups and sit-ups to your routine. If your nervous about going to the gym you could also just do the push-ups and sit-ups at your house.
