Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. - Q: I do not want to get a cheap carpet. Is $30 a sq yard above average or expensive?
- I WENT TO BITTICK'S CARPET I'M SO HAPPY WITH THEM THEY ALSO GIVE EXTRA PADDING UNDER THE CARPET CHECK THEM OUT THEY ARE REASONABLE ENJOY
- Q: 2 days ago when I came home I noticed that the toilet was leaking water and the whole bathroom floor was flooded. Even the carpet between the bathroom and the kitchen got soaking wet. My husband fixed the toilet and we immediately wet vac'd the carpet.I woke up this morning to this awful smell that was coming from the carpet. I called my apartment manager and he said he will send a carpet cleaner this afternoon.I really cant stand the smell and its giving me a headache.Plus Im kinda worried...Im not really sure that the carpet cleaning will help. (Im afraid that there is mildew under the carpet)Has anybody made the same experience and can tell me if carpet cleaning really helps? And if the smell doesnt go away or will come back does our manager HAVE to replace the carpet because of health reasons?!I'd be thankful for helpful advice.
- the flooring must be torn out, adding water or chemical to the already wet carpet is not going to do any good. just rip the carpeting out and have it replaced.
- Q: If landlord was to replace carpet with our security deposit does it, by some type of law or anything in Florida, have to be of equal or lesser value than the carpet originally in there? Or can he just get really fancy carpet and charge us up the ***?
- The landlord can install whatever kind of carpet he wants. What he can charge the tenant is a different matter entirely. The tenant is responsible to return the unit to the same condition as when they moved in. This means the landlord cannot charge the tenant for redecorating, upgrading, and/or renovating the unit. Yes, the carpet should be about the same quality as was already in place if the landlord is attempting to charge the tenant for it. In addition, the landlord can only charge the prorated amount of life left in the carpet, which is typically estimated to last about 10 years. Meaning, if the carpet was already 5 years old when the tenant moved in, he could only be charged up to half the cost, even if he destroyed the carpet. If the carpet was over 10 years old, the tenant cannot be charged at all, as it was already considered as having to be replaced. This is a very, very loose rule, though; a judge may not necessarily agree or may consider the life of carpet to be closer to 20 years. Certainly, carpet can remain in good condition for that long if properly taken care of. Hopefully, you have move-in pictures dictating the condition of the carpet and what quality it was.
- Q: good loom for rugs and placemats?
- I didn't go to your links, but Schacht looms are some of the best made. I would really like to have a 2- harness Schacht to make rugs with! I have a 4-harness LeClerc and it is heavy enough to do what I want all the way from rugs to fine fabrics. I suggest you get some of those link together mats to put under your loom to prevent walking and to dampen the banging we get when making rugs!! Dust vacs work well to get up the lint we make. Enjoy your new loom as much as I enjoy my antique LeClerc! (it has a 4 digit serial number!)
- Q: We just got laminate flooring. It's tongue and grove and looks like shiny cherry wood. We have a 5x7 area rug in the middle of the floor, it's just a simple flat maroon area rug bought from Walmart. Is there anything I can place underneath the area rug that won't scratch the flooring and that will keep pet stains from seeping through to the laminate flooring. I have a 16 year old dog and he pees everywhere and for some reason he's fond of area rugs. I've pulled the carpet up to find that the pee has seeped through. Also because of the seepage I'm afraid of thoroughly cleaning the soiled area, such as with a carpet cleaner, because of the cleaners seeping down to the laminate.Thanks.
- Hi - We have laminate (tongue and groove as well) and we have a new puppy who isnt house broken yet and is fond of rugs, why is that? Anyway, what we bought some of those pee pads and put them underneath the area rugs. If it seeps through then it hits the pee pad and we can remove it and replace it with a clean one - once we wash the spot of course. I put a little double sided tape between the back of the pee pad and the floor to hold it in place. So far that has seemed to work.
- Q: I really like this rug, but it's rather pricey!Anybody know of some similar ones?
- try the flea markets. or street markets, i'm sure they have them where you are. they have rugs very similar to those. flea markets are like a box of choco-lates, you nevva know whatcha gonna get!
- Q: I want to do carpet business. Now what kind of carpet do you sell well?
- Finally, you can also contact some of the production of carpet manufacturers, to give you some samples for those placed in your shop, do some carpet business, sometimes a month to do two single shop list, you this month's expenses came out. Good。 Placed in the shop some kind of block, the customer needs, and you go to the warehouse to pick up the goods, do not pressure costs.
- Q: When do you feel it is too cold or too hot for your horse and you need to rug him/her? How can you tell if your horse needs to be rugged or unrugged? Thanks, and could you also include some points about the differant types of rugs and what each are best for and when you should use them eg. winter rugs, summer rugs, cavasson (i think thats it:)), ect. thanks! xx
- A okorder / The higher the denier the tougher the rug. 600 denier will tear easier and be less water proof then a 1200 plus denier rug. I have the last one shown (Defender) is a great rug for really cold frosty winters. Tough denier and no neck rug attached, which I prefer for my horses that are not in much work. In spring I then switch it for a lighter rug, which they usually wear for a month or so before I leave it off completely. But please remember, even if you switch to a lighter rug, it will still need to come off each morning if it is warm and during their heavy moulting in the first month of spring.
- Q: I used a carpet shampooer along with a solution of natures miracle and a small scoop of oxy clean to clean my carpets. My cat had peed a spot in one of my rooms, so i just went ahead and shampooed all the carpet areas. I know that the Nature's miracle says that the carpet has to be 100% dry for the odors to go away. Well it has been over a week and I have noticed that everywhere I shampooed now smells horribly like cat urine! It is overwhelming! The carpet shampooer is kind of old, it was given to me, and I am wondering if it had some odors in it. I took the shampooer outside and took it apart and sprayed it with vinegar but I am scared to use it again because i think that it distributed the urine odor all over my house :( I don't know what to do, the cat urine odor is just everywhere now! What do i do to get rid of it....do i just need to get a new shampooer?
- You okorder ). They care for our carpets meticulously and offer the same superior cleaning and restoration resources.
- Q: Stuff I've bought doesn't work, and to be honest they cost too much money, is there a cheap/natural way to clean carpet effectivly?
- Get a RugDoctor cleaner. about $30 for 24 hours, plus shampoo. Follow the directions. works great.
