3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet

Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q:Somehow molten candle wax got dropped in my carpet and its really hard now. How can i remove it without destroying my carpet?: Well I am not totally sure but perhaps if you heat water until it is scalding hot and pour it on the spot then dab at it with a towel. Do this a couple of times until the wax is gone. I don't know if it will work for sure but at least it wont ruin that spot on the carpet so much by cutting and scraping at it. If you are not worried about the carpet so much then cut it but it sounds like that you are worried about it or you wouldn't try and clean it at all. I would try the scalding hot water. Cant hurt it. I think it will work though. Then after you do that try a carpet cleaner that you can spray on and vacuum up. Might draw out any wax that is left over. Don't boil the water though, I don't know if it will melt the synthetic fibers in the carpet or not if it is boiling water. Good luck hope it works.

Q:Okay.. Stupid question:Will a horse get caught up or whatever if they decide do roll while wearing a winter rug? Or will they be okay??Just wondering, cause I'm curious :): My horse rolls all the time with a blanket on, and never has any problems. Make sure that belly straps lay ALMOST flat against the belly, there supposed to be loose not like a girth. and the hind leg straps should never hang below the hocks. The problem is not on the surface of the carpet, but the base of the carpet which has :actionbac: which is a synthetic rubber type of stuff which gets soaked, and it takes a lot of time to dry it. c)If the carpet is really old, and you cannot get the smell out in a two day time, then discard and fit a new carpet. if it is a rug which is loose laid, a) remove the rug and put it in the sun to dry it. b) reverse the carpet, exposing the backing to the sun and dry it for another day before you put it back in the room.

Q:we live in a rented apartment, we have carpet installed but we would prefer hard wood so much better. is there a way, inexpensive much preferred, to have hard wood over the carpet without damaging the carpet? hope to hear some interesting suggestions, thanks!!: You can't put hardwood over carpet. The softness of the carpet would let the hard floor flex and would eventually come apart, break or crack.

Q:how do my friend and I get blue-green marker stains out of carpet without making it worse? hopefully quickly?: If you go to your local grocery store (price chopper, Hannafords, shop rite, etc.) Sometimes you can rent carpet cleaners or if you go to a bed bath and beyond or linens and things you can buy a carpet cleaner.
