3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet
Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. - We moved into my husband's grandparent's former home which has two rooms with shag carpeting. I have a bagless vaccum and I set it on the 2 to lowest carpet level setting in one room and the highest in the other (that shag is sooo tall!). We've had NO problems! I'd say go for it! Also, since you are a neat freak I've also shampoo'd both rooms too! And my shampooer has no carpet height setting.

- Dawn is right.. The special rug to carpet under layment ( its not really a pad).Its thin and feels tacky but leaves no residue. These underlayments are real thin and will pick up dirt naturally and loose their tackiness but you can toss them in the washer and they come back to work again. Some one will tell you to get the shelf liner material, this is not the same stuff and can leave marks.
