- when you're trying to remove a spot, you need to subtract, not add. vaccuum the carpet when it's dry. then use a damp white towel. If this isn't doing much, you can go to non-ammonia windex or rubbing alchohol. avoid any other detergents or over-the counter spot removers, as they can set spots in or cause bleaching(and yes, oxi- labeled cleaners can do that too). some spots are permanent, but if you avoid harsh chemicals, a pro will at least have a fighting chance. Using the harsh chemicals can eliminate that chance.
- Q: I got a puppy and a kitten at basically the same time, so needless to say, the carpets need to be deorderized so they will not be tempted to keep peeing on them again.I heard you needed to basically douse it in Natures Miracle, let that dry and then sprinkle baking soda on it for 2 days then vacuum up. - Nature's Miracle didn't harm the carpet. Keep using it on future stains. I'd iron the carpet. Turn it over so the backing is on top, place a damp cloth on top of the wrinkly part and use a very warm, but not hot iron, with not too much pressure. SHOULD work.

- You should wait until it is thoroughly dry. If you have to move furniture back on, slip something (like wax paper or plastic wrap) under the legs first.

- This product is really for spot cleaning but the best thing I have found is a el cheapo aerosol spray cleaner, I think it's actually a generic knockoff of Resolve, it's $1 a can and I think I've only found it at Dollar General stores. It works really well and it's only $1, it's in a red can. If the whole thing needs cleaning I would use this spot cleaner first and then rent a steam cleaner. You can rent them from WinnDixie for about $40 and then the solution is extra, depending on what you want/need. I've just used the basic solution and it works pretty well but I would def spot clean first.
