Q:The letter TPC 1432 on my tires.I know the letter TPC mean, what is the number 1432 mean?Is it approved code?
Tire Production Code. It indicates when the tire was produced.
Q:Are continental tires any good? They sell them at wal-Mart.for my truck they have goodyear and continental.
Both are fine products and with proper care should give you good service.
Q:I know tire rotation is done so the tires won't wear down unevenly. I want to know what the sequence of rotation is?.Is the front right tire switched to the back left rim or do they just switch the front tires to each opposite side and then do the same with the back? Thanks!
radial tires, (which are what you have unless you have some older or retro style tires), are rotated by moving the fronts straight back to the rear and the rears straight ahead to the fronts. the tires should have the same direction of rotation, if you switch them in the older fashion which was rf to lr etc., the tires will run the oppisite direction at high speed and this can cause the cords to break. i never put a lot of stock into tire rotation, if the tires run unevenly enough that they need to be rotated to improve wear, you have a suspension problem tht you are avoiding. if the wear on the tires is even, why rotate? very few people do this anymore.
Q:We just bought a preowned Lexus 2006 ES330. When I drive through even little bummpy road I hear nose from the back. It seems that the tires touch the suspension. The dealer has put M+S P245/45 R18 tires. When I see the manual, Lexus suggests to put P215/60 R 16 tires. Is the tire that deal has put ok?
tire sizes are on drivers door sticker and most likely who had it before you added larger wheels and possible tires are rubbing any tire shop can help you find or fix problem
Q:A typical American tire would have something like P215/70/R15 embedded. Would a European/International tire have different tire size embedded on the wheel or it is the same?
I think Just Tires have got this wrong. They should not have fitted tyres that were the wrong specification for the car. They should have a set of tables for every make and model of car, indicating correct tyre size, speed rating, etc. They should also have the experience to know when they're fitting tyres of the wrong speed rating. However, proving that might be difficult. They could say that they fitted the tyres you asked for and hence they're not responsible. I suggest that instead of all guns blazing you try to come to a reasonable compromise with the manager, where they upgrade the car's tyres for a price you both can live with. If they're not willing to compromise then you need to contact the local trading standards department.
Q:I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass. We have replaced some of the tires, while others are original. The door panel says that the tire pressure should be 26/29 for front/back, but the tires look really deflated at that rate. Does the pressure recommendation increase as cars tires age? All of the tires have a maximum pressure of about 35-40.
Proper tire pressure is determined by application (vehicle type) and tire size, not brand or model of tire, age. All tires of the same size as the original tires - P215/60R15 93T - have the same inflation requirements on your vehicle regardless of how old they are or who made them. As someone who looks at tires all day long for a living I can assure you that you can't tell much of anything by how a tire looks. The guys with the automotive engineering degrees spent a lot of time and money testing the optimal tire pressures for your vehicle. They know best what works. 29/26 is correct.
Q:Looking for high-mileage tires for my 03 Accord. My last tires didn‘t last as long as I had hoped does anyone know what tires last longest?
A transmission or gearbox provides a speed-torque conversion (commonly known as gear reduction or speed reduction) from a higher speed motor to a slower but more forceful output or vice-versa, using the principle of mechanical advantage.
Q:I have a 2007 328xi and I need to get new tires. Does anyone know where I can get a list of approved tires so when I bring the car back next year they dont give me a hard time?
There are plenty on the market. I have found the following selection for you: Pirelli P zero Nero Tyre Size 255/40Y17 Dunlop SP Sport 2000E MFS Tyre Size 255/40Y17 Continental Sport Contact 3 Tyre Size 255/40Y17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 Tyre Size 255/40Y17 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Tyre Size 255/40Y17
Q:What size tires go on a 97 ford contour GL the tires on my car now say 205/75R14 but web sites I been on say my car takes 185/70R14 is there a difference?
This Site Might Help You. RE: 97 ford contour tire sizes? What size tires go on a 97 ford contour GL the tires on my car now say 205/75R14 but web sites I been on say my car takes 185/70R14 is there a difference?
Q:Are tires balanced during manufacturing? Is there a marking on the new tire signifying the perfect balanced area? In return, should the person mounting the tire on a wheel place the mark in alignment with the valve before inflating air and balancing the wheel?
The tires are marked so you can match the high spot on the wheel to the low spot on the tire since there is no such thing as a perfectly round wheel or tire. That is to ensure roundness, not balance per se. After installing the tire and wheel assembly is then balanced.
