- Q: Will a tire with a larger or smaller diameter have a faster steering response?(if the rear tire diameter is the same in both situations)examples:If the rear and front tire are the same sizeorIf the front tire is 4 inches smaller in diameter than the rear tireWhich will have faster steering response?
- In tires the sidewall size will be on of the ways to slow or quicken the steering response. the more side wall you have the more flex between the road and rim which means it will respond a little slower because of the sidewall flex. With less sidewall there is less flex between the road and the rim which means that your inputs will transmit to the road faster. Larger or smaller diameter may not make a difference 1957514 may be smaller than a 2357515 but they both have a large side wall where as a 2355015 would have a smaller sidewall or aspect ratio.
- Q: For optimum performance and mileage (I realize these may be independent of each other) do you run the tire at the tire manufacture‘s air pressure rating or the motorcycle manufacture‘s rating? For example MC‘s rating is 33 front / 36 rear. Tire manufacturer‘s ratings are 38/42
- If the the faucet is threaded is placed there, then unscrewing it will do the job.If it is soldered,it can be heated to make it loose but cutting it off the copper line is fast, easy the right way.If it is a compression system they had used to install it, then u cut it off.
- Q: Car tires on the wheels of the oil someone else said that the oil seal bad I went to the east of the well-off maintenance of the place where the repair did not open a long time and become like this, what is the impact of the bad oil on the impact of the big impact I do not bother to repair Anyway, the company's car
- The high speed of the flywheel and the clutch in the car rotates to speed up the flow of air around it. When the vehicle is running on a dusty road, the airflow will bring a lot of dust and attach it to the oil seal around the crankshaft. After mixing the oil and dust, the crankshaft is rotated into the oil seal and journal, Oil spill. When the clutch pedal is depressed, the sediment and dust will fly into the clutch driven plate, platen and flywheel surface, causing the joint surface to pull out the groove and exacerbate wear.
- Q: and which of the two tire compounds is the toughest?
- There are different types of dry weather tyres: Hard compound tyres last longer than soft tyres but it has lesser grip. Medium compound tyres for balanced performace. Soft compound tyres has more grip but didn't last longer as hard tyres. Also they have Super soft tyres for special racing condition or for specific race track, this tyre has the highest level of grip and also highest in wear tear. Wet weather tyres is a different story. there are intermediate tyres for semi wet / semi dry track (with V-shaped groove - designed to disperse water). And Extreme wet weather tyres (fully threaded) for severe weather or hard rains.
- Q: This is my first time getting tires for my car and I am thinking about getting it from discount tires. I wasn‘t sure if I should make an appointment first or not and I would appreciate it if you let me know how the whole tire buying process unfolds. Thanks
- Check to see if the wiper blades are frozen to the windshield. Use your hand to lift them away from the windshield. If they are stuck then run the heater inside the car and that will warm up the windshield enough to unfreeze them.
- Q: My present 1999 Toyota Solara SLE V6 has performance all season tires.(Bridgestone RE 92) What differences might I expect to find when driving my car, if I switch to HIGH PERFORMANCE--verses Touring tires--or perhaps another brand of performance tire like Goodyear etc? I need a set of new tires soon. I have been very happy with the RE 92 Bridgestones but they have not worn particularly well. Thanks.
- Performance tires are specialty tires that customers choose to enhance the look and low speed traction of their vehicles. High Performance tire design extends high speed handling and stability. Touring tires feature enhanced performance blended with excellent ride quality. High Performance tires will have more of a softer tread compounds for better traction with an emphasis on maximum contact patch. The Touring tires give you a better ride comfort and lower noise. Cooper's Zeon ZPT are an excellent value in an H-rated high performance tire design.
- Q: Hey guys well I want to know what psi I should set my tires to. The manual says 35 at most. The tires are Yokohama Type S(I KNOW, NOT THE BEST TIRE OUT THERE BUT ITS OK) on the tires it says 51psi MAX. I was told that you should always go 5psi under the max. Is this true? Or should I always fill it up to the MAX? Also which psi do I fallow the 35max on the manual or the 51psi MAX on the tire?
- Unlike tires on bicycles (where we inflate to just a few PSi below Max), car tire pressures are inflated to the car manufacturer's specs (ie; your owner's manual or door sticker pressure figures). It is because they know your car's weight, suspension/brake designs. They match with with an ideal pressure to ensure optimum tire footprint on the road. This is because tire manufacturers make tires for a whole range of vehicle sizes/weights, the max pressure figure will say what upper limit the tires can withstand. It doesn't mean you have to inflate it all the way there. If you fill it to the 51PSi, you will have very poor grip and harse ride comfort. You will also experience premature wear on the center of the tire because the threads will bulge up along the center. NEVER fill it to the Max pressure stated on the tire unless your manual says it.
- Q: What are some great tire sizes I can put on my 2005 Ford F150 XL without having to buy a lift. It has to look good to. I have the small stock tires on at the moment.
- any tire size equivilant to a 30 maybe 31 tire should work without requiring a suspention/body lift kit
- Q: I have a 2003 Honda C-RV that is maintained regularly. It has 33,000 miles on it. I‘m going to be driving from the SF bay area to Arizona and back later this year and I don‘t want any tire problems. Should I be thinking about getting new tires?
- usually the bigger, or longer cars have them. its rare to find a everyday car with a windshield wiper on the rear, unless its a luxery car.
- Q: i have a 99 v6 mustang. i really need tires but i dont have that much money. so where can i get tires for a good price before the snow comes
- Walmart and Sam's club.
