- Q: I have a 1994 Honda civic ex with a manual transmission and I‘m having trouble with the tranni. So I was wondering where can I get agood but cheap tranni and how much could it come out too. Thanks.
- I don't care as long as they don't screw up MY yard.
- Q: The transmission on my hyundai has been slipping on me when cold. I replaced what I could of the fluid but still mixed with the old stuff, used SP-III. This made the problem worse. It later completely wouldnt engage in gear until the engine was running for a few minutes. Now first gear doesn‘t engage at all. Reverse works fine. Someone told me that the torque converter is probably completely clogged or the filter because it does try to engage. Someone else told me that the transmission is shot. Does anyone have experience with these transmissions that could agree or not agree with flushing the system?
- Flushing your transmission is considered preventative maintenance. That is, you do it every 30k miles and it should extend the life of your transmission. If you already HAVE a problem with your transmission, not only with a flush not help you, it will generally make it worse. If you want to understand why I can elaborate, but I think that is beyond the scope of this question. Early Hyundai cars have notoriously bad transmissions. A transmission rebuild will probably cost more than a 1999 Hyundai is worth (no offense). I suggest you start shopping around for a used transmission or a new car.
- Q: Okay so 1st gear is okay but after that, the car still drives and moves but I can feel the transmission having a hard time shifting and even when its going up speeds, its like grinding I guess, the car feels a little shaky when driving, whats wrong with my trans ? Do I need to get a transmission oil change and filter ?
- I went through the same thng almost. Your trans is shot. If you hear grinding no trans fluid and filter change will do anything for you. I found a used cheap trans for $400 at a junkyard (big Gamble) and put it in myself. If You cant do it urself it will probably be no cheaper than $1000 to $1600 used
- Q: Is it D.C or A.C transmission system for 132 Kv and other transmission lines?
- relatively DC is used in some intense voltage transmission purposes, yet in uncomplicated terms in specific circumstances that warrant it. bijay sums up somewhat some the advantages of HVDC transmission (whether there are nevertheless corona issues purely like in AC transmission). AC transmission is better than DC transmission in quite much all situations. intense voltage DC is used quite lots in uncomplicated terms while the economics dictate that that's functional to realize this. DC has the income that fewer conductors are required than 3phase AC which would be a significant cost cost reductions. on the different hand, the AC could desire to be switched over to DC, sent down the line and then switched over decrease back to AC so as that clientele can relatively use the electrical energy, which would be a significant boost in cost (conversion kit and maintenance). So plainly when the dimensions of the transmission line is somewhat long, the cost cost reductions beat out the better costs. hence, the applying business business enterprise makes a decision to place in the needed conversion kit, strains and towers to transmit intense voltage DC. One occasion of HVDC in united statesa. may be the Pacific Intertie. that's a very long line that connects the Pacific Northwest to shoppers in southern California. It replaced into authorized in the 1960's and geared up utilizing Swedish HVDC technologies. check out the pedia articles for extra info on reward/destructive aspects of intense voltage DC transmission that I relatively have not coated.
- Q: Gasket between motor and transmission? Ballpark cost?
- Engine smoke never comes from the transmission. There is no gasket between the engine and transmission bell-housing.
- Q: also can transmissions be replaced from different model types of cars?
- This Site Might Help You. RE: how to identify failing/broken transmission in a car? also can transmissions be replaced from different model types of cars?
- Q: What‘s the best transmission fluid to use in 1986 Mercedes 560 Sel W126
- it provides you with perhaps 2 to three extra miles to the gallon. Becuase in case you dont already recognize the chilly air intke can help you your engine breath alot extra effective by technique of increasing air bypass. in case you may have the funds for it get it. Its properly worth it.
- Q: I was just wondering is there a way to tell if the transmission is the original not a swap? I have a 2001 ford crown victoria
- Tough question. I would guess a car has the original transmission, unless the original suffered major breakage. Most transmissions can be rebuilt, and that is done every day. Some people do get used transmissions from the salvage yard, and install them, but it takes a good mechanic to really look around for teltales, like missing brackets, bent lines, and other things that a backyard mechanic might install wrong, or not install at all, or even if it is the wrong transmission. You can take it to a transmission shop and have it inspected, but if it is working whats the point?
- Q: Ok i‘m thinking about buying a 1997 to 2004 Dodge Dakota and I want a Manual Transmission but they are kinda hard to find in 4x4 So how good are the Automatic Transmission in them? What are stronger and more durable the Automatic or Manual Transmission?
- I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota RWD with V8 and Automatic Trans. While I have to admit I had the tranny replaced 3 years ago, the current one is doing fine and has 35,000 miles on it. I had a re-manufactured tranny put in. The tranny was from Hughes Performance. It has been extremely solid so far and I beat on it every day and I also race the truck on the weekends. Now, I have to tell you it was not cheap. A re-man tranny cost the same as a new one ( about $2000 ). But I trust Hughes Performance they have been in the transmission business for 30 years.
- Q: Is it normal for a Honda with an automatic transmission to make a noticeable downshift when the mph gets right under 20mph? It‘s noticeable in the sense that it‘s comparable to barely tapping the brake when slowing down. I didn‘t know if this was normal or not. The transmission engages fine when moving from park to drive to reverse etc. Just that one downshift when slowing down under 20 mph.
- your looking interior the incorrect place. the transmission clear out is placed interior the transmission . seem under the automobile on the transmission , the pan you spot on the backside of transmission with perhaps a dozen bolts in it ought to be dropped , then you definitely can benefit get entry to to the clear out, the gasket is going around the flange of pan you bumped off. be careful once you drop the pan, each and all the trans fluid will pour out at as quickly as. stable success
