- Q: After how many miles should you rotate your tires on a car
- Howard as soon as you see any indication of wear on the steer tires especially on the inner and outer edge's even if just slightly you should do this. now as general rule take the mileage your tires are expected to be good for ( 60,000 as an example) and divide this by 4 (3 is acceptable though) and use the figure as a base to do it. so on the 60,000 mile tire do it at 15,000. they will last much longer that way.
- Q: Why do people say to wait 100 miles before pushing tires hard but when people put on brand new tires at the track they are good to go after a few laps?
- Rubber products generally have a mold release agent still on them. Depending on what kind, it can be very slick, even waxy. Careful use and weaving as described will get most of it off. I prefer to scrub down new tires with a Scotchbrite pad in warm water and dish detergent. If I just change a rear, I may use the easy way. Spin the rear tire in sand(low rpm) while rocking from side to side. I can't tell you about race tires, they don't fit my moped.
- Q: What is the level of car tires?
- Tire thickness, pattern, material
- Q: Okay, I go outside, my rear passenger tire is flat. like most people, I look at the tire, and I also feel around the tire for a reason, there‘s always the chance the problem is at the bottom of the flat tire, but. finally, through alot of getting it to a very well known tire center, my car‘s tire not only has one, but two nails. One in the tread, and mysteriously one is in the sidewall and not at the bottom of the sidewall, which of course makes it a complete loss. I need not one tire, but two, as the sales clerk declares, according to their employee, because they will then match, and we can rotate them, oh and only $250. How in the you know what, or how, does a nail under any law of physics and volicity drive itself into the sidewall? The tire was not flat, the car was never driven on the rim??????
- They are called mopeds (short for motorized pedal bike). In most areas an unlicensed rider can use one as long as the engine does not exceed 50cc.
- Q: How to identify the type of car tires
- Can be classified by structure. Classification of tires by type of vehicle classification, probably can be divided into eight kinds. O-light truck tires; TB - truck and tires; AG - farm tires; OTR - tires for construction vehicles; ID tires for industrial vehicles; AC - aircraft tires; MC - motorcycle tires. Tires for tires are classified according to their use, including tires, tires for passenger cars and tires for mines. In addition to the tire size marked on the sidewall, but also must be marked level. But here we need to tell you that the number of tires of the tire does not refer to its actual number of layers, but refers to the use of high-strength material cords made of carcass tires, the load performance is equivalent to the use of cotton cord production carcass The number of tire ply. This is because the cotton cord is the earliest for the production of carcass cords, therefore, the international practice that cotton cord layer that the number of tires for the benchmark. Different levels, the tire load capacity is different. Even if the same specifications of the tire, because of its different levels, its load capacity is not the same, so different levels of tires, can not be used in the same axis, otherwise, at high speed and load conditions will be dangerous
- Q: I was quoated a pretty reasonable price but everyone I tell has never heard of these--are they a decent tire? Thx!
- decent price for a cheap tire.best buy a name brand for a few more bucks and you will get more running out of them . im a tire guy heres what you say whats your cheapest tire in size------ and then after they tell you ask about another one that one will be the better tire id pass one them sorry but you dont want cheap tire they dont last no time better to spend a bit more and get one that will last longer
- Q: I am wondering what every ones thoughts are on rotating tires. I know that everyone has heard that you should rotate the tires on your car or truck every so often. I am of the opinion that this was only something made up by the tire companies to sell more tires. If you notice the back tires on a front wheel drive car hardly wear since they only roll without any torque being applied. If you did not rotate tires the back tires would last through two sets of new tires on the front. Therefore, I can not see buying 4 tires when you would only have to buy 2 if you did not rotate them as suggested. What is your opinion?
- rotating tires have a far greater impact than money. even tire wear is safer and the tires will last longer. as the fronts wear, so does the geometry of your suspension. front wheel drive has an inherent problem. they have to do all the work. braking, turning, acceleration, and support the majority of the vehicles weight. BTW, it's a fact, the tires will last longer, and in the end will save you money. your choice
- Q: What is the use of radial tires in bikes ?
- They provide the friction with the ground sufficient to propel the bike forward when pedaled. The front tire also rotates side to side, allowing the rider to steer the bike.
- Q: I was told that the best time to check the tire pressure is when the tires are cold. But what if the temperature is really low?If air inside the tires will expand when heated up, then I assume the air will contract too?Is there a possibility that the pressure of my tires are actually fine, but the air contracts and give me a wrong reading when the temperature is very low?In this case, should I add air to my tires if I get a low reading on tire pressure during winter?
- Tire and car manufacturers are aware that tires will heat up during driving. The "spec" tire pressure (door frame, or owner's manual) is what you should use, year-round. It's based on the tire being at outside-air temperature, not on tire temperature after driving. This means that you will have to add some air as winter sets in, and bleed a bit out in spring (if you're obsessive about having the right tire pressure). If you're checking your cold tire pressure when it's ridiculously cold out, you might well get a slightly low reading that you can ignore. But if the outside air temperature is normal winter temperature and you get a low reading, add air.
- Q: Modified car tires to change what is good
- The wheel is a cylindrical metal part with a shaft as the center for supporting the tire. In layman's terms, the position of the axle in which the axle is installed is the important zero point of the brake drum (brake disc), the wheel and the axle part.
