Q: Will a tire with a larger or smaller diameter have a faster steering response?(if the rear tire diameter is the same in both situations)examples:If the rear and front tire are the same sizeorIf the front tire is 4 inches smaller in diameter than the rear tireWhich will have faster steering response?
Aspect ratio, sidewall construction, tread pattern and compound are the critical factors in steering response, not diameter.
Q: How to look at the size of car tires?
Tire written above
Q: Cars' and bikes', and airplanes'. All tires are always black
Due to an ingredient added to the rubber compound used to add certain properties. Called Carbon Black,,which is naturally Black
Q: Say for example that my tires are supposed to be at 30psi according to the owners manual. The air in the tires can only be released, so wont the tires be under 30 in not too long unless i check every fews days or so? so the manual saying 30, does that mean that maybe the tires are best at 28-29? and do 30, to be safe according to the manual? or should i just do 30+ always. and i doesnt matter what the tire says, right?thanks
Not just permeatation as others have stated, but tires also change pressure due to the ambiant air temperatures. Still, loss of more than a pound or two per week indictes other problems, such as puncture or leaking stem. A properly inflated tire is best for safety and economy. Too much air lessens the footprint on the road, too little affects braking and steering and generates excess heat leading to shorter tire life. Also can use more fuel. Not all tires require the same air pressure. Check your vehiclle owner's manual or your tire dealer to be sure of what is correct.
Q: 20 inch tyre size
I think u can see here for best blue wall bmx tyres.
Q: In most cars there is a tag alongside the drivers door indicating relevant information including recommended tire size to use and tire pressure to apply. My question is: Assuming that the car owner will need new tires periodically using different brands but the same size, does the recommended car manufacturer tire pressure still apply or does it necessarily have to change. Every time I get my tires balanced and rotated, the mechanic always overpressurize the tires by about 5 psi although I suggested to them to follow the pressure listed on the tag.
Tire pressure recommendation changes with size, not with brand or model of tire. The air in the tire supports the weight of the vehicle. A tire is, if you will, just a very fancy air container. Different sizes of tire have different volumes of air they can contain and this influences how much inflation pressure is required to support a given load. So as long as the tire size does not change, you use the information on the Tire Load and Information Placard on the car. If your mechanic is not inflating the tires properly it is time to find a new one. What else is s/he doing wrong?
Q: Having problems with brand new car tires. Any time the temperature falls I have to put air in my tires. what can be causing this problem. My wife who also has new tires it‘s having the same problem is not all the tires, just certain ones. are they defective?
No, I doubt that the tires are defective. The ideal gas law says that as temperature decreases either volume or pressure decreases. The volume in a tire is fixed (approximately) thus the pressure decreases with changes in temperature. I commend you check your tire pressure regularly and adjust them as temperature changes. Tires work and wear best if they are adjusted to the recommended tire pressure by the manufacturer. I just completed that task on my vehicles this morning since it has turned colder in the last couple of days. Had to add air to all of them to compensate for the change. In the spring, will have to let some air out as temperatures warm back up. Not sure why not all the tires were affected. Could be that the tire pressure was not equal in all of them to begin with. I couldn't afford it but did spend extra for a highly accurate tire pressure gauge and haven't seen that problem since. I believe that tire pressures are to be measured at cold (meaning ambient) temperatures rather than warming them up.
Q: Does the car tire add fuel
Fee oil, an increase of 10_15%, see how much you change the tires.
Q: im gonna start flatlanding and i decided to get a dk opsis. the only thing is that people say to fill your tires to over 100psi and i think(im not 100% sure) the tires the opsis comes with have a maximum of 65 psi. can someone tells me if thats true and if it is show me a good tire to buy for as little as possible.
The tyre will have it's recommended pressure range printed on the sidewall and you should never go over the highest figure. The highest pressure is determined by the sidewall construction, and if you go over that, the tyre could fail. If you can't get to see the tyre, try looking on the tyre manufacturer's web site, they should have the specs of the tyres on there.
Q: about how much do four tires cost w/labor on a toyota corollanothing crazy, just standard tires?
If you get the basic style of tires from a Pep Boys or a local Tire Center, you might be able to get 4 brand new tires for around $160. They tend to put the P175/65R14 on discount a lot so you might be able to get a good deal on some basic, no frills tires with a 30,000 mile warranty. If you have the extra cash, then go with a 50,000 mile tire. Best of luck in your tire shopping.
The company has successfully passed through certificates of ISO9001quality management system,China national C.C.C. and DOT,ECE,G.C.C.,Imetro and etc.Due to an excellent quality and performance of tires. The company's BOTO brand tires is very popular in the country and exported to over 90 countries and regions across the world.
