Q: I recently bought a Kinetic Kurt trainer- I wanted to buy a training tire so it would be quieter and not wear out my good rear tire. The guy at REI told me I might as well go with a regular tire, use my normal tube and just buy a cheepo tire. Is he right? Is there a reason why I might want a trainer specific tire?
Interesting question but I believe that if you consider the physics of a trainer you'll find that there will be little wear on the tire when you're using the trainer. What causes wear on a tire is the rubbing together of the road surface and the tire as it rolls, leans in turns and reduces your speed when braking. Remember that the only points of contact between your bike and the road surface are the tires. Of course, the rougher the surface of the road the more wear will occur. When you're on a trainer the tire is in constant contact with the generally smooth surface of the trainer and there's minimal friction between the two round objects turning at the same speed so tire wear is minimal. In a trainer there's no leaning in the turns, no braking, and no rubbing between a rolling tire and a static road surface. The biggest single reason for using a different tire would be the noise issue. The more aggressive the tread design the more noise it'll make on the trainer or on the road. I think that for the most part, if your good tire were a smoother tread, any wear occurring while it was in the trainer would be negligible over the long haul.
Q: I received a $30 road hazard credit for the damaged tire. The other 3 tires have a little over 50% wear on them.
If the vehicle is greater recent than 2002 and there is greater effective than 20% placed on on any of the tires then confident you do could desire to replace 4 until you pick to run the prospect of very costly drivetrain injury. If the tires have decrease than 20% placed on than changing a million is appropriate as long as that is a precise tournament to the different 3.
Q: Having problems with brand new car tires. Any time the temperature falls I have to put air in my tires. what can be causing this problem. My wife who also has new tires it‘s having the same problem is not all the tires, just certain ones. are they defective?
The problem of lower tire pressure when the temperature is cold is related directly the Ideal Gas Law nRT PV Temperature (proportional to) Pressure * Volume In this example, n (# moles) and R (gas constant) can be ignored Since the volume of the tire is essentially constant, changes in T (proportional to) changes in P Decreases is Temperature mean decreases in Pressure.
Q: Recently, the car always tied to things, worried about the explosion, what way to improve it? Because I was running on the road is not a good place to run.
There is a self-made tires even if the tie nail is also the price of your point
Q: Shopping for tires for my motorcycle and they are listed as either front of rear, the tread all looks similar, just wondering what the differences are?Our trucks and cars use the same type of tires front and rear so it got my curiosity up.
On motorcycle tires it can be different tire to tire but usually the difference is tread and the way the direction bands and the way they were designed to take force. Example a front tire is designed for breaking force not acceleration a rear tire is designed for acceleration with slight braking force. That being said i have run many a tire backwards i road race and tracks like little talladaga are mostly lefts so i run the tire the proper direction until it has worn the i spin it around to where the other side as well. This can work but be careful i do this on tires without rain grooves a tire is directional for both the inner bands and the tread a tire is designed to disperse the water as it rolls over it when on backwards this will not happen as well or maybe not at all. Most tires today can be run on either but only under certain circumstances. One example is i had a bike that they no longer made a high performance rear tire in the size i needed so i took a front tire and mounted it backwards this enabled it to receive the force the way the manufacture intended. If a front tire is designed to brake the spin it around and that is acceleration forces. But it will not handle water dissipation as it was designed to do but i used it in fair weather and on a track so that was not a issue good luck.
Q: I had a brand new tire that I bought from discount tire online mounted today at a local shop. After they mounted it they informed me the tire had a bulge/bubble in the sidewall. Is this a manufacturing defect or can it be caused by improper mounting? Thanks
Tires are inflated to a known pressure - every tire is supposedly inflated to standard pressures. If the process of inflating the tire exposed a defect in the tire-wall - the fault is with the tire itself. This is based upon a series of reasonable assumptions. I would say the manufacturer of the tire is responsible, not the local shop. The fact that you purchased the tire through a discount tire outlet is irrelevant - the tire would be expected to perform its duty and function as a tire. In this case, it was faulty right out of the gate. You now have the job of proving that the tire you bought was in fact faulty - good luck with that.
Q: I am looking to open a tire center, and I need info on where to purchase tires to keep in stock, and still be able to sell at comparable prices with other tire centers.
if you live in a fairly mild city with not to much rain i suggest putting a cold air intake.
Q: somebody please explain the tire rotation pattern in1, two wheelers with stepney 2, two wheelers without stepney3, three wheelers4, for wheelers5, 4 wheel drive6, heavy duty vehiclesAlso explain tire rotation pattern in vehicles fitted with cross ply tires and radial tires
Cermaic straightners are better because normal straightners are usually metal and tug on ur hair or make it knotty, cermacics glide effortlessly through the hair. I reccomend GHDs or babyliss pro. Steam straightners and tourmailine straightners are exactly the same but they make ur hair alot thinner and silker due to the steam, it also makes ur hair more shiney. Q: I blew my front right tire tonight when I hit a curb late at night.I managed to drive about a mile to my housewhen I got out i saw the tire completely damaged.I guess the impact just blew it out in holes.I need to replace it obviously, how much is the average cost for either a Used tire or a New Tire???.I‘d like to know both, thanks.
Stay there, save some money, invite me to move in with you and then we can move to Milan together! :) Kidding of course! But hey, Italia is a place that I've always wanted to go to! My suggestion is to stay and save $ so you have a backup for when you go to a place where you want to go and spend a lot of $ on rent, etc.
Q: What is tire pressure? I know it has something to do with air pressure. but is there a better definition?ALSO, how would tire pressure on a bike influence the ease of riding it?***please include all sources
Tire pressure is air pressure. The amount of air pressure within the tire. More air pressure within the tire decreases rolling resistance thus making it easier to roll. Less air pressure increases rolling resistance thus making it more difficult to roll. Not enough space to explain the science behind it.
The company has successfully passed through certificates of ISO9001quality management system,China national C.C.C. and DOT,ECE,G.C.C.,Imetro and etc.Due to an excellent quality and performance of tires. The company's BOTO brand tires is very popular in the country and exported to over 90 countries and regions across the world.
