Q: I need the wiring harness color codes for a stock radio in an 08 ford mustang. an original forum i looked at said that there would be a green and purple one but i didn't see that. Please help!!
Ford Radio Wiring Harness
Q: i need to know which wire is which in a 1999 dodge stratus for the cars stereo
Here okorder /
Q: How do I wire MULTIPLE ones? I checked many sites and yes, I do get schematics, I've seen a billion schematics, but now I don't know how to actually put it together. My big question is, can I just solder two wires running from my 5V + terminal like that? Would there be problems? So if I have a 5V battery.
simple enough just connect all positive terminals altogether and all negative terminals connected to each other
Q: installing whelen car strobe lights.the directions say to wire the power to the battery with wire that can hold 125% of the power
Use 12 Ga. wire. However, do not wire directly to the battery, use a relay.
Q: Are toast - previous owner did a bad amp install on them and there is basically no wire left to use for mine.Is it possible to run a radio power wire/remote wire from the fuse panel back to the radio? If so can i just shove the wire in the fuse holder then stick the fuse back in on top of it?((Fuse 8 is the mustangs radio fuse))
Never wire anything into your fuse box, that will defeat the purpose of having it. You will have to do what's called a hard wire. You will need to run all new wires, which is the safest way to do it, with all proper fusing. A constant +12, a switched +12 and a ground is all you need for the radio to work, and all new speaker wires. If you can find one in a junkyard, you might be able to find a new harness to repair the OEM one, and that would really help you out. Good luck!
Q: i need an egr wiring Diagram for a 2000 Chevy Malibu. the wires got pulled out of the weather tight connector. if anyone can help i'd appreciate
Connector view for the GM linear EGR valve are as follows: Pin# A=gray/w black wire,Pin# B=solid black wire,Pin# C=brown/w white wire,Pin# D=brown/w white wire(see note) and Pin# E=solid red wire! NOTE since pin C+D have the same color wire the correct wire must be identified by checking the voltage with the KOEO (key on engine off) the right brown/w white wire should have a 5volt reference voltage with the key on engine off! Hope this helps.
Q: I've seen people use it as ...umm..energy generating...majiggy.. (but not alot of energy) including a magnet/something about a magnetic field or some sort?and instead of MAGNET WIRES can i use SPEAKER WIRES?(RADIO SHACK)
Magnet wire is just solid copper with a layer of varnish for insulation. Speaker wire would work, but you could not wind the wire as tightly due to the thicker insulation. also the wire is very flexible and will not stay in place very well. Also, if the coil gets hot, the insulation on the Speaker wire will start to burn or melt. .
Q: Why is it that some wires get hot, having electricity flow throught them, while others don't?And why is it that when there is a lot of resistance in a wire, that it doesn't get hot?Why does the length of a wire has an effect on the temperature of that wire, and how exactly?
we know that the power = i^2 *r where i : is the current through the wire. r : is the equivalent resistance of the current. so this power will be consumed in the wire in form of heat, so if the resistance of any wire increase, the absorbed power will increase. Also we know the resistance of any wire = * l / a where : - = constant, the resistivity of the matter ( copper, aluminum,... ). - l = the length of the wire. - a = cross section of area of the wire. as the length of the wire increase, the resistance will increase, so the power will increase, this lead to increase of the heat in the wire.
Q: 6000+ heat sinc wires?i up graded my cpu and the new heat sinc has a 4 wire conector and my old 3800+ heat sinc has 3 and mobo has 3 pin processor works great. sys recognizes amd 6000+ dual core processor @ 3.0 ghz but not the model #???? sys works great scored 10143 on 3DMARK 06 anyway the fan and temp s are all good any ideas what the other wire is
Yes, the fan on your heat sink has a fourth wire that..............(tune back in tommorrow folks, for the conclusion), (sorry, somebody's telling jokes over here!) The fourth wire is a Speed control wire. The first wire,(Red), is 12VDC,(power), the second,(Black), is the ground, should be a Blue wire, for rpm sensor, and the fourth,(color codes vary), is the wire that the BIOS uses to speed the fan up when the temp of the cpu raises, slows the fan down, when it isn't used as hard. Temp of the cpu, is found through one of it's pins on the bottom of it.
Q: I'm trying to install a ceiling fan and I'm looking for some help given my home's wiring. I have a single light switch in the room, and here's what's coming out of the ceiling: 2 white wires, 2 black wires and a ground wire. It seems like a set of white and black originate from the same location (in both cases). My celing fan with light has a remote connection, so there's one black, one white and one ground wire coming from my fan to connect to the ceiling. Can someone let me know how to hook it up so the fan and light both work? Thanks in advance.
if you have separated the wires from one another you have created a small problem which will require that you determine which pair are bringing the power in (line) You can buy a cheap 2-wire tester which us always a useful tool to have around. with the power on, carefully touch the the tester to one pair at a time (a black and white wire- don't let any of the wires touch each other, and the tester should light up. the other pair are running to the switch. note which pair is which. Have the switch extended out of the wall so that you can examine the wiring. Using wire nuts, ( the plastic screw-on caps) attach the hot black to the white wire of the non-hot pair and shove deep into the box out of your way...you are done with it.. that will deliver the power to the switch and now the black from the non-hot pair will bring it back to the fan becoming your new hot wire controlled now by the switch.. the switch should have the white wire and the black wire from the same pair attached to it..) the white wire from your remote receiver will attach to the white wire from ceiling box and the black and blue (light)wires from the receiver will connect with wire nuts to the newly established hot black. SWITCH AT WALL SHOULD NOW BE OFF. you can now continue the fan installation. Be mindful of the fact that the remote receiver slides into the space in the fan mounting bracket and there is very little room to get the receiver and all the connected wires in and under the canopy/cover. being as neat as posible with your wiring and wire placement is essential. good luck.
