Q:Can we use pilot wire protection to protect overhead line, and which country use this scheme ?: Pilot wire protection can be used anytime anywhere. The question is not where it is used but why, and is it required. Pilot wire protection provides better discrimination of fault location, than, say, an impedance or distance relay. If the zones are too close, pilot wire may be the only feasible solution. .

Q:I already tried wire cutters, and they just bend it!: If you can, put the wire in a bench vice and use a hacksaw to cut your wire. You can still use the hacksaw even if you don't have a bench vice. It just makes it easier. Hope this helps good luck. Richard

Q:i have some blue speaker wire in my wiring kit for my subs but where do i start it out from my head deck when i start to wire it all together.: The remote wire is for the remote turn on for the amp. It connects to the blue/white wire from the head unit (aftermarket) to the REM terminal on the amp. If your using a stock head unit, you can run the fused (1 amp, added to the blue wire from the fuse panel) blue wire tapped from a fuse that only has power when the car is on to a switch. From the other side of the switch run the same blue wire to the REM terminal on the amp. This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp.

Q:What role does the neutral wire play?: An electrical circuit requires at least two wires, whether it be ac or dc. In mains ac, one of the wires is connected to ground for safety. This is called the neutral. So the circuit will still work without the neutral connected to ground but not be so safe. The reason the neutral makes it safer is that a current will flow in the event of a fault on the hot wire and cause the protection (fuse or breaker) to operate.

Q:I'm replacing the door speakers in a 2001 Coupe Camaro with the factory sound system. I needed to know which wire was positive and which was negative so I bought a circuit tester. However, I keep getting the reading that both wires are positive. What could be causing this? I know the circuit tester works because I tested it on the battery terminals and it worked fine.: Speaker wire carries AC current. A circuit tester designed for DC voltage won't work, at least for telling you which is positive or negative. (It doesn't matter whether you use chassis ground, or the other speaker wire, as a reference). In the driver's door, the positive wire should be tan and the negative wire gray. In the passenger door, the positive wire is light green and the negative wire is dark green.

If you really don't know what you are looking for and just want to match what you have, the easiest thing to do is bring a small sample of your current wire to a store like RadioShack or the electrical section at Lowe's or Home Depot and match it up yourself with what they have available. Chances are you'll find a match in under a minute. You can also just order a spool of name-brand 16 gauge wire online from places like OKorder or Best Buy also.

Q:I have a water valve that I need to connect but I don't know how to read this diagram. I'm unsure how to connect the wires to the cold and hot valve. I have four wires that need to be connected. A pair of white caps with one blue wire and one orange; and a pair of black caps with one blue wire and one yellow wire. Sorry if this sounds confusing but I have no idea how to explain it well. Thanks!: Cold Valve one at the lower left of the schematic should have a yellow wire which connects directly to the controller at the P5 .1 terminal. The blue wire will connect with a wire nut to a blue wire which is a common ground for all three valves. Cold valve 2 has an orange wire which connects to the controller at the P5 .4 terminal in the blue wire should connect to the same blue wire but in a different place again with a wire nut. If that isn't clear enough post a picture of the and maybe I can explain it better.
