- Q:We received a carpet bid for a room that is $2641.00. The next number is 52.44 installed and carpet only 39.44. I'm assuming this is yards? Does that sound like an average price for a slightly above average carpet?For about 200 square feet, is $7/sq. ft an average cost for tile and $1700 total including materials? Then still I have to pay labor separate. It is a unique tile in a unique shape, not square but rectangular.
- The cost of the tile can vary from .99--? If you are happy with the $7 a square foot, then that is fine. I paid for my tile and then paid 3.50 a square foot for installation. I don't understand the extra money you have to put out for materials? and then to pay labour separately? I would get some estimate from other places...unless this is for the prep work..then it would make sense if that was needed. I strongly suggest you get a written estimate from them and a couple more installers. I like to hire the installers from the place of tile purchase. I cannot help you on carpet..sorry..I have no experience with that.

- Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal, so they will appreciate some things to climb on when they are young and old. But as they get older they will need some pretty sturdy branches. Depending on what locality you get, it may get anywhere from 6'-12'. Carpet Pythons actually mellow out a lot when they mature a bit. They are fine with being handled, and it'll make it easier on you. You could start off in a big tank, but you have to make sure that the snake feels secure. Lots of hides, branches, etc. Plus you need to make sure there's enough heat for the whole cage. I would start off in a smaller tank if you can, but you don't have to. And one other tip about Carpet Pythons, unlike most snakes, which are usually fed prey the size of the fattest part of the snakes body, they actually can eat prey that are bigger than that, and prefer it.

- Q:We are trying to get the carpet in one of our bedrooms in our house replaced, but we are on a tight budget. We went to home depot and they said they would have to charge us around $900 to replace all the carpet padding and install the new carpet. we said that we would leave the same padding (to save money), but the woman told us that it is an ohio state law that carpet companies MUST replace the padding if they are going to replace the carpet too. another company we called said this isn't true. was the lady at home depot just trying to get more money out of us, or is there really a carpet padding law? I cant seem to find anything about it. any help is appreciated.
- I have never heard of a law requiring you to replace the padding when installing new carpets. How exactly would that law work if you were buying a carpet that has a built in padding? An installation company may have a policy about it but i could find no laws requiring it. Call your attorney General's consumer department and ask them if there is in fact a law but i doubt it very much.

- If there is no string color, you could just wash it, if the soaking time is too long, do not put it under blazing sun, lay flat and dry it. if the soaking time is short, you should lay flat and wash with a brush. what is the material of your carpet? it may be cross-color like downstairs said and it is easily deformed!

- You can do it yourself, with a clean towel and nail polish remover, the trick is to blot not rub, I did this with a brand new rug and it came out fine, you can do a test area first to be sure you don't take the color out, just make sure u have enough acetone to do the job perfectly.
