- Depends if your horse is going to live out all year, or in on a night, whether it's clipped etc etc. As you are getting a foal, don't buy anything too expensive as it's going to grow out of it pretty quickly. You'll need a waterproof rug for outside and a stable rug for inside. It also depends where you live, what sort of weather you tend to get, if there is good shelter in the field. You can get different weights for rugs, a bit like tog rating on a duvet. Don't get one to warm as it can make a horse soft, the main thing is to prevent the worst of the weather getting onto your horse.

- you should of shampoo the carpet with vinager that would of took the smell away vinager takes away odors of every kind.i guess you can get a spray bottle and mix half vinager half water and spray the carpet and let dry you might have to do it a couple if times but i bet you get the odor to be gone 85 percent unless you still have the shampoo carpet cleaner that would work alot better if you used that just add vinager instead of the cleaner.

- don't use an iron. You have a good chance of melting your rug if it is made of synthetic fiber. I used an iron on a rug before and the rug material actually melted and stuck to the cloth I had laid on top. If your carpet is wool or cotton it won't melt...but the melted wax will actually wick into the carpet fiber when it liquifies. Do the opposite. Get a bag of ice and freeze it for several minutes, then scrape the hardened wax from the carpet with a credit card or plastic scraper. If there is any wax color remaining in the carpet, you may have more problems.

- Q: So I am updating my bedroom, like new rug, new shades for my windows, repainting my walls, and a new bed mattress. So i have these butt ugly carpets in my room that i've had since kindergarden and they have to go. They are embarrassing, unattractive, and dirty. I want the rugs to touch wall to wall, basically touching every inch of my floor, but i don't want an installed carpet that i can't take off the floor, just an area rug. - Q: Isn't it better to place a CPU on a desk or at least elevate it so that it doesn't touch a carpet or floor? (Even if the carpet is not shag?) I am trying to prove this to my boss but he insists that the computers remain on the rug. Keep in the mind that the computers have 3 intake fans, and a few outtake fans. They are placed in a church/office setting where kids could incidentally kick the computer or something. I also know that when computers are closer to the floor, they take in more dust. Am I not correct, or at least partially correct?
- Yes. Laptops certainly. This is because carpets have a very uneven surface, and they are spongy. What happens is the carpet will rest against the air intakes (which are on the bottom) and restrict air flow in. It also picks up a large amount of dust since carpet has a large surface area to trap such particles. If on a hard desk, the feet provide some elevation for air to move freely underneath so the fan can suck it up for cooling. This is desirable, however, computers will work pretty much anywhere.
- Q: It seems like my hardwood floors are dull where my area rugs are. Is there any way to prevent them from permanently damaging my floors?
- The rug is supposed to be protecting the floor. The exception is when you have cherry floors which darken from the sunlight. Then when you move a rug you have a much lighter area of wood where the rug was. Sometimes the backing from the rug may dull the floor but a quick clean up with soapy water will restore the finish shine. Good luck---
