- The only think I know of is this spray called dumb cat . This stuff takes out the smell and suposely keeps the cat away. That part did not work for me but might work for you.
- Q: Pottery Barn tells me that a sofa that they have with overall dimensions of 80w x 36d x 36h will not fit through my doorway. They say that the diagonal depth of the sofa is 32 and that's what determines whether or not it will fit. However, the sofa has removable back cushions and the actual back of the sofa is 29. Will it fit through the door?
- It depends if the Arm rests are lower each side than the back of the Couch, then it is possible to put Couch upright and loop it around door like Waltzing, if you have clearance either side of Door. It is possible if you take the Door off you might get it in as you will have two extra Inches and the Door wont be in your way, also if Couch is made of soft enough Material then it might Squeeze in the Door with a bit of effort. You must be careful of taking off Wrapping in the hope of getting it in Door as there will be no protection to Couch and it could get easily ripped, so it is better to leave the Wrapping on for protection and not take it off. You will have to Judge if it is worth taking the risk of taking the Wrapping off or not. Is there a possibility of a Rear Window Access to your living Room or even taking the Window out or a back Door into the Kitchen and then into living Room. Good Luck anyway. Ps The Furniture Shop has to cover themselves in case of Lawsuit and have to be cautious in their statments . I have been in the same situation myself and said Furniture would not go into a Customers House but when we arrived at House and Pushed and shoved it sometimes Miraculousely goes in and we are even surprised ourselves . But mostly the Shop knows from past Experience of different Localities if it will go in or not , it depends if People have done Alterations to a difficult house and then might go in.They tell you it is at your own risk if something goes wrong if they know it is going to be difficult.

- Sounds like a burn make and nothing is going to remove that. There is a leather cleaner called leather CPR that will help and at least make it a little softer if it got hard.
- Q: So my mother has been looking to get a new sofa set. Her friend recommended talking to another friend who was giving away a sofa set supposedly practically brand new. When my mother received the set, the sofas were filthy and full of urine. I have tried everything. De-greaser, Clorox, ajax, vinegar, goo gone...nothing seems to be working. - If you are talking about stained upholstery, try Oxy cleaner or I had great success with a product called LA Totally Awesome. If you are talking about the smell of urine in the sofa, take off the covers on the cushions and take the foam rubber outside and let it air-out for a few days in a dry place. You can also take the cushion covers to the dry cleaners and they can get virtually any stain out. I do not recommend washing the covers as shrinkage is likely.

- I think legally they are within their rights to do this. Surely you or another relative could have helped her measure up to see if the sofa she was thinking of buying would fit? It's a bit late to complain that the sofa doesn't fit, if you didn't measure up! It's not the shop's fault. They are now having to take a sofa back just because the customer didn't measure up properly. Sounds as if the shop is actually being quite accommodating. She should accept the credit note and buy a replacement smaller sofa with it ASAP. You could also ask the shop if they could lend her an armchair in the meantime so at least she has something to sit on. Hopefully this is a lesson learnt. A quick measure up would have prevented all this hassle!
- Q: i live in the states but i am currently in germany visiting my husband because he is in the us military and is stationed here. i have been here for almost two weeks and upon my arrival my husband was told i was only allowed to stay for 90 days, however, i have done some research and learned that i do not have to adhere to the 90 days because i am staying on a us military base and i may exceed the 90 days as long as my passport has a SOFA stamp which proves i am a dependent of a us soldier stationed in a foreign country or something like that. my questions are:do i have to be command sponsored and living with my husband in germany to be able to obtain a SOFA stamp ?if not, what are the required documents needed to obtain a SOFA stamp ?where can i go to get the SOFA stamp ?any additional information is appreciated. please and thank you so much for your help i am looking forward to staying longer than 90 days because i want to be with my husband as long as i can before he has to deploy.
- In order to gain sofa status u must be in your husbands orders to the overseas base. He has to hav accompanied orders and you listed as the dependent who is accompanying him. When me and my children pcs'd with my husband upon entering the country over seas in which he is stationed I had to present my husbands orders. To obtain my sofa license which allows you to drive in another country and work I took the class on base and received if from security forces my husband is air force. But I do know that you can stay longer than 90 days if you exit the country and then return the following dAy,you can research Germay's visa laws and it will mention something about getting a longer visa. This is your best option or your husband can put in to amend his orders so they are accompanied and you can move there for the remainder of his tour. Depending on how long he has left of his tour it may not be worth it because amending orders takes time.

- I personally like contrast. Matchy-matchy is boring. You say the legs are the same or similar. That should tie them together nicely! Use other accent pieces or sofa pillows to tie the two together. This will add interest without being predictable. It sounds very nice.
- Q: My mom claims that by me sitting on my sofa, I am wearing it out. Now, of course this puts wear on it. But does this put in actually wear on it? Like does it decrease the longevity of the couch? If you have any sources you can site, that would be great.
- Define Sitting. Slamming onto the sofa, putting your feet (in shoes) up and your heels digging into the cushions will put *excessive* wear on the couch. Sitting upright on the sofa with both feet on the ground, dead-still with only a small (empty) tea-cup in one hand (little finger out) and the saucer in the other will put *minimum* wear on it. If one weighs 200+ pounds, add an additional factor to the above. If one weighs 300+ pounds, yet more and so on. Normal wear is something in between.
