- The only way to do that is to supervise them every single time they have the option to bite something you don't want them biting. If you can't supervise them, they need to be confined somewhere with appropriate things. A crate is best, since there are no walls or cabinet edges to tempt them. Confined in their crate with good toys, such as a chewing ball or other safe chews, their only option is to play with appropriate things. Confine them during their most active learning period, before they get a chance to form bad habits. - Hi Laura, Either way you go you will need to straighten out the sofa cover each time someone sits or plays on it. You can try to use upholstery tacks nailed in underneath the sofa to help. But honestly, it can be an endless chore! However, given the cost of sofas I would definitely cover it and protect your investment. If this is any easier a thought for you, you could just take a flat sheet and throw it on the sofa during the day when your child is up, then remove it after he has gone to bed. Child hood does have its ages and stages :o)

- Q: How can I remove candle wax from a microfiber sofa?
- Not sure about microfiber, but I dumped a candle on the carpet one time. Use a brown paper grocery bag(works better than a paper towel or napkin) and iron it with a clothes iron(no steam) over the spot. Might need a few bags depending on the size of the spot. It worked like a charm for me. It did take awhile and had to flip the bag around a bunch but be patient and it should come out.

- You do not get a SOFA card. The SOFA is the Status of Forces Agreement. That is the equivalent of a treaty where the host country agrees to defer legal matters to be handled by say...the U.S. for U.S. personnel. What you need is an immigration visa. You have to get the packet together and submit it through the U.S. Consulate (Embassy) in your particular region. There is one in Frankfurt, Berlin and I think Munich, but I am not sure about that one. I was married to a British woman, and had to get the ducks in a row before she could come to the U.S. She eventually became a dual citizen. I lived in Germany for 6 years while assigned in the U.S. Army there. Being that your spouse is from a former Soviet Bloc country, there may be an additional hurdle too, but once again, talk to the Consulate about that. You have to get this immigration visa prior to you leaving the country to bring her with you. get on that quickly. thanks and good luck.

- Folex is the best that I have found. It is an upholstery/carpet cleaner. I have a microfiber sofa and it has been pretty good at getting tough stains out. It is fantastic on the carpet. If the stain is really bad, you may need to call a professional cleaner - I have heard good things about that.
