- Q: i need a folding sofa bed that has a way of folding it so that i can transport it in my car. pls where can i get it. i need to transport it to another state.
- Sofa beds are so very very very heavy. Impossible to transport in a car. Impossible to lift if you don't have 2 men a truck.
- Q: I have oil heat, with forced air.. We have, what we believe to be, is an air intake vent on the floor.. no heat comes out so we think it just pulls air in. Can I put a sofa over it? There is like an inch or two of clearance from the bottom of the sofa to the floor.
- You can buy a plastic extension that has magnets on it that will stick to vents, then it extends out to the edge of the couch, since it is clear you don't notice it. It;s made for heating but would probably work for the return duct too.
- Q: i am not sure what product to use to clean the sofa, any ideas on what household products would be good to use...

- You can pay outright for a sofa but I don't think you can give them cash. They never gave me the option to anyway. A cheque or debit transaction is fine. So you can pay in a lump sum or over a period of X amount of years. I just brought a Dfs sofa and they are a bunch of con artists. I waited four months for delivery and then my sofa wouldn't fit through the front door (it's a regular-sized door - I don't know what castles they've been delivering to) so I refused the delivery (didn't fancy building an extension around the sofa). Went back at the weekend and they refused to give me my money back! They said they manufactured the sofa in good faith and I have to choose another one. So I ended up paying another ?300 for a more expensive sofa - a sofa which is delivered with its back unattached and they fix the two parts together in the house (so this more expensive sofa *will* fit through the door; funny that). Now I'm having words with a lawyer to see if I can get the difference knocked off my new sofa. So anyway, my point is... if there is any - any - option you can take which allows you to NOT pay until the sofa is safely in your home then take it. I'm not taking about credit either - the contracts are also legally binding. See if you can work out a debit arrangement, where the money is taken out of your bank ONLY after the sofa has been delivered. If they don't do that, find a place that does.

- i have the Ektorp sofa with the pull-out queen size bed. the heaviest part of the entire sofa is the pull out bed because it is a metal frame. the ektorp sofa comes in three parts (well at least the sectional i got) and if you were moving it alone i can tell you it's very easy. one good healthy person can move the three sections on their own. two people is always fun

- You can get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke with White Vinegar. Vinegar destroys cigarette smell on a molecular level. It doesn't just cover it up, like air fresheners do. It destroys it. Pour undiluted White Vinegar into a spritzer bottle and spray the sofa with this. You might have to repeat the spraying a few times to completely eliminate the smell. Yes, vinegar stinks, too, but unlike cigarette smell, it dissipates within hours. And once it does, the cigarette smell will be gone, too. -
