- Q: I am about to run out of Sofa Mart leather cleaner and it's very expensive. Are there any cheaper things to use that are also safe for leather furniture?
- Ivory dish soap and water. Years ago when we bought expensive leather furniture from Mashall Fields Department store in Chicago.. they told my mom for cleaning, use a little liquid Ivory Dish soap with warm water... cleans leather and is gentle. We had 5 kids and this did the trick and the leather was never damaged from too harsh of chemicals!!
- Q: i have a coach and 2 sofas ,cannot afford to buy new ones so i wanna do it yourself renew them has anyone ever done that and if there is anytips out there or a website that helps u get started . the fabric on it is ripped in more then one place i sewed it but withthe kids and the stretching it still rerips or stretches and doesnt look right ,, when u sit on it it feels like u fall into it ,i fixed one coach by re tightening the metals inside the coach it was ok but too high so if anytips please help

- If they are fabric sofa set you can use a steam cleaner. As for the chemical to use I find Tide detergent mixed with hot water works great. For tough stains, the night before apply a stain remover and let it sit. The next day use steam cleaner w/laundry detergent mix. Wash once and vacuum water off twice.
- Q: It feels like soft velvet - how do i identify if it is microfiber or suede or just an ordinary fabric.and also how would i know if it is stain guard protected or not?
- Without seeing it I would say it would be a microfiber or possibly chenille.......A mircrofiber resembles suede but is synthetic.......Suede would be very costly and a fortune to clean.....Most furniture stores will tell you or give you the option of having a fabric protector applied to the pieces before purchasing. Sometimes the hangtags will identify if the furniture comes already with the protective finish on it or not. When in doubt call your salesperson and they should be able to answer your question or the manafacturer.....
- Q: I am an American soldier living in Germany for about 7 years. I rent an apartment in Bad Bruckenau. In a wind storm, the stone tiles blew off the roof of my apartment and landed on my car that was parked next to my apartment. - oh yea man, thats a tough break. The SOFA agreement says that if you have you're car parked next to your apartment and it has a sofa on it, then any damage incurred by the car while parked is the sole responsibility of the owner of said property, or in your case, the landlord. However, since you dont seem to have had a sofa an your car, looks like you're responsible. Mayb you can take some pictures of you car and photoshop a sofa on top of it, you might be able to sway the court with persuasive evidence

- Depend on what the fabric is made of and how durable the couch was made. the main thing that can happen is it pulls on the seam and tears the seam. if the arm is structurally made out of bad wood, it could snap or pull away from where its attached. Best thing to do is just not do it, no matter how good and Strong you think it is. y risk it?

- Went Down? Pump Up? Is this an air filled piece of furniture? If this isn't a dream I'm having why not just get FOAM cushioning, very often sold in shapes matching cushion covers at at least 3 inches thick. Or get bags of fiberfill and stuff cushion covers. Hate Club members bring it on.
