Q: im looking to put a switch into the power cable for my amp so that it i can turn it on and off. what is the best way to do this? cheers
You can put a main power cut off to your amp. all you have to do is go to a truck stop and get a big power cut off switch and put it somewhere along the power cable. or you can just put a toogle o the blue wire.
Q: How can we manage power (voltage ) loss in the long distance if elcetricity is fed along with the cable?
Fiber optical cable and electrical power ? They are not related.
Q: I am not sure of the reason but when i plugged in the power cable there was a crackling sound only for a second and then it stopped. I remember a similar occurennce when i had a loose electrical circuit would this have done any harm to the computer.
you merely experienced the stunning scent of silicon frying. possibly the processor overheated and burned. consistent with threat a skill surge brought about your powersupply to prepare dinner the motherboard. In any condition, that computing gadget has been cooked. i admire that scent. electric warmth on silicone and distinctive mineral circuits.
Q: I need 600W of power for my new computer, but all I have is 2 300W, 20-pin power supplies. What I'm wondering is if I can combine the 2 20-pin connectors and turn them into 1 24-pin connector?
relies upon on the producer are you advantageous its basically 20 pin as some 4 pin connectors grasp freely so how many different 4 clusters do you have you will desire to have 2 one million of those would be the different connector you go with except its an exceptionally very very old cheappy PSU inwhich case replace it they ordinary and much less costly 30 bux
Q: Hi,I bought a new 500GB HDD today, with a SATA cable (data) but I don't know what kind of power cable I need?I looked around and saw Sata to Molex and all kinds of things, I've never had to hook up a second hard drive before and the terms are confusing me. Could anyone tell me what kind of cable I'll need and where I'm supposed to hook them up to?Thanks!
The power cable you need will come from the computer's power supply (PSU - power supply unit), and look like a larger version of the SATA data cable (wider). You connect both cables and let it go. Some older model SATA hard drives have both the SATA power connector and a 4 pin Molex (usually white 4 pin power connection from PSU/power supply. Hope that helps.
Q: I just recently bought an amp from my friend. It is a fender frontman 15 w amp. I think it is one of the ones that comes in the strat pack or something. anyway, she didnt have the power cable for the amp that plugs into the back, and i kind of need this. does anyone know where i can find one or buy it. I already looked at fenders websight. anything would helpthanks
I'm okorder /
Q: We have AT U-verse and we lost power during a storm. The picture returned and sound through the tv speakers but our surround sound did not. We have an Onkyo receiver along with the U-Verse cable box but nothing was changed.Any ideas?
Most likely the receiver is on the wrong input
Q: So my old power cord cable is no longer working and i need a replacement but i cant find one. does anybody know where i can find one? PLease include links
Look for it on this web site (link below). If they don't have it, it likely can't be found.
Q: 98 dodge intrepid, wanna run power cable through the firewall without drilling a hole.
Look around under the steering column. There should be a place where other wires and things come through already. Its pretty easy to run through there. That's usually the best place to run wires through. After you get through the firewall run the wire under the plastic floor paneling. hope this helps.
Q: Many of the complete amplifier kits, example rated for a 700 watt amplifier come with a 10 gauge power cable. Many of the gauge charts from the online car audio techs, would recommend a 4 gauge wire, but they sell the amp kits with the 10 gauge. I guess bigger is better, more efficient and safer for the installation, but I would expect them to add some * adjacent to the kit specs with their recommendation.
with that kind of amp go with 8 gauge
