- Q: I bought a Zmodo CCTV system.The system came with 60' of cable,so I purchased some 165' cables.I would like to have more,but I can't find anything longer than 165' anywhere.Is that the longest size that they manke?Thank you

- Q: I need a low profile extention to the exsiting power cable so it can run along the skirting to the mains socket.I was thinking of joining flex wire to the existing cable, wrapping the 3 cores with heatshrink, and then wrapping the whole thing with white insulation tape. the guy from maplin told me I could do this but then I''ve heard that this is a bad idea (and probably against UK safety regulations).
- What I would do is make an extension up and just plug the heater into that. When you don't use the heater anymore use the extension for something else. Normally you need a Janus plug a normal plug and 2.5mm^2 three core flex. You can solder the wires and heat shrink it, just make sure the solder join is done well. If you just twist it together it might heat up and burn.

- Q: I was just wondering that if, for example, you are running too small of a power cable to you subwoofer amplifier does it not get to its full potential? And, if you get the right size will it be louder? Your thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated.
- Your subwoofer amp requires a given amount of power to run. Provided it is getting that amount of power, and provided it is free of ungrounded interference, it will produce as clean as sound as possible. A bigger power cord wont produce more power in itself, it would simply offer less resistance. And in this case, you wouldn't be gaining anything. Bigger cables only affect applications where you are delivering signal. Again, less resistance allows more of the signal to get through, offering (perhaps) better sound quality. Even in this case, it wouldn't have any affect on volume.
- Q: Ok so I was doing something stupid just now. Cuttiing a power cable that connects to the tv. Halfway through to cutting it, the wire explodes and hit my face o,o. So quickly, I turn all of the switches off and run to wash my face. I just wanted to know whether it's ok to turn all the switched back on cus I'm literally in the dark right now. And will there be any damage to my face since the wire explodes in my face?
- You probably should not have been left home alone, unsupervised. It is NOT OK to turn the power on, unless you have taken the TV plug out of the power socket on the wall. This does NOT mean cutting through the cord, it means unplugging it like a normal person would do. You might have a couple of small burns on your face. If you were more injured, I am sure you would realize it.
- Q: How do I get it not to do that? Its really annoying. Whenever I remove the charger cable , the screen gets really dark. It seems like an actual function and not a defect, but is their a way to toggle it on and off?

- High input cable ...? Not really sure what that is, Also, that power supply is junk. 750W and it only has a single 6-pin PCI? That's sad. Good 750W power supplies are at least ?70 and have four 6-pin PCI cables. Heck, a good 430W costs more than that and it's guaranteed to perform better.
