Q: A pair of Copper wire mains, each of 3.87 sq.cm cross section use to transmit the power, a distance of 915m for 10 hours a day, 80 kilo watt at 200 volts are taken from the mains, find power lost in cable per day at resistivity 1.7 micro ohm.cm.Note: Question is talking about A PAIR OF COPPER WIRE
Power loss per day is meaningless, I assume you mean energy loss per day, or power loss You have to calculate the resistance in the wire. Resistance of a wire in Ω R = ρL/A ρ is resistivity of the material in Ω-m L is length in meters A is cross-sectional area in m? A = πr?, r is radius of wire in m resistivity Cu 17.2e-9 Ω-m 3.87 cm? = 3.87 e-6 m? R = (2*915)(17.2e-9) / (3.87 e-6) = 8.13 ohms 80 kW at 200 volts is a current of 80000/200 = 400 amps You cannot put 400 amps through an 8 ohm resistance, as that requires a voltage of 3200 volts, which we don't have. So the premise of 80 kW is not possible. Perhaps you copied one of the numbers incorrectly. .
Q: Hey.I just took out the power cable on my ps3, but then my light was gone in the same moment? How could that be :-D?
Bad wiring in the house? Sounds at least like a situation like that. Not uncommon in buildings of certain times.. older types of wiring used. And worse not ready for todays amount of electronics. So yeah check the wiring. In between time buy a few extension boxes, you know the type with more then 1 electronic socket. But most important a switch. That way you can switch it off and that way such discharges won't happen any more.
Q: I'm referring to the older models of both the PS2 and PS3, not the slim models.
Controllers, yes, you just need a special adapter. Power cable, absolutely not, since the PS3 Fat uses a 3-prong power cable like what computers use and the PS2 uses a completely different kind with only 2.
Q: i have an amp with an 80a fuse i figure i shoud use a power cable with a 100a inline fuse what guagee should i use? also can i get two 8 guage wires with 50a inline fuses both to the ampthanks guys
Every body is saying the same thing You should listen to the general consensus///use a 4 gauge with a 80amp or a 100amp fuse if the amplifier does not have an internal fuse or onboard fuse, use a 80amp fuse two 8 gauge power cables will not give you the same performance as a 4 gauge power cable(they should in theory)but their is alot of science and phisics mumbo jumbo that i cant explain as good as a scientist(so just trust me on this one)
Q: When I say different types, I mean different types of Xbox 360 203 watt power cables. And I know that my xbox 360 is compatible with 203 watt power cables.
No, it really doesn't matter. All xbox 360's can use the 203W power supply. Though you can not use the 175w or 150w power supply with a 203w xenon motherboard xbox. There are 2 different types of 203w power supply, there's a 2 pin and a 3 pin. It really doesn't matter which one you get, one is grounded and one isn't.
Q: My system was working fine until today. The bass stopped hitting to the music and thumps in intervals of about 5 seconds regardless of whether the music is turned up or down. I hooked up my system without my capacitor to see if this was the problem. It worked...but only for a minute. The bass was hitting like it was suppose to but all of a sudden it went back to the interval thumping and the power cable got hot to the touch and the fuse inside the holder was melted. What the heck is the problem?
short circuit. you need a bigger fuse in the inline cable coming from the battery. bigger fuse
Q: Yjy cable yje and yjv which one is expensive and its own characteristic
Hard drive is too expensive, not within thousands of dollars. 8 years to open shop experience Hotspot: 1.CPUG530 is i3's Lite, good performance, low power consumption, mainstream interface is. Q: my laptop power cable is pluged in and turned on but it fails to charge or power my laptop but its in properly and sumtimes works .. any help?
ok....this might not be you power supply cable.. this may be a problem with your powerjack in your laptop, if that's loose, then it won't recieve any power from the cable...it will randomly though..i had the same problem a few months ago, and a little solder job will do the trick! take it to a good local repair guy (or me if you're in the uk hahaha)... and have the power jack resoldered.. try your power supply on another similar laptop to make sure it's not that..but generally speaking..once a power supply's fried..it won't work randomly...all it is, is a transformer and a converter... it would make sense if it was the power jack loose or has a faulty connection to the motherboard :) hope this helped!
Q: Im going to get a new graphics card. I am getting the XFX Geforce 9800 GT and it needs 1 six pin PCI Express power cable. It comes with a cable to convert 2 molex cables into 1 six pin pci power cable. Problem is, is that dont have any molex cables available. I have 4 SATA power cables. So if I got a converter to convert 2 SATA power cables into 2 Molex cables into 1 six pin power cable work? Would I lose any voltage/ watts? Please let me know, I got the graphics card for christmas and I dont want to end up with it not even working.
I okorder ) And no, it won't work. The PCIx power is drawing from a different part of your PSU than the molex is. Send me an email, and we can talk about upgrading that PSU. If we figure something out, I'll edit the post on here to reveal our findings. Cool?
Q: when i remove the cable it becomes lighter again. what can i do to fix this problem. the os is winXP
Usually it's the other way around. When it's on Battery power the screen should be dimmer to save on battery usage. I'm not sure about Asus but my Acer has power settings for when you are on Battery power or plugged in. Poke around to see if there are settings similar on your computer. It might be under display in the control panel.
