- Q: holes to route the cable through anyone have pics or a website so i can figure it out
- steering rod boot or drill a hole
- Q: i bought a car from some guy..he had 2 amps but he took out one...he had the power cable running from one amp to the other. i just recently bought another amp and i was wondering if its safe to do this.he said it was working fine..he was powering 2 10 subwoofers..thats what im planning to do
- its safe but its better to run 2 separate wires due to you are wanting to use more power and one wire has a max load that it can handle...you run 2 and you will have more power to each amp
- Q: Hi, my computer power supply does not have a PCI-E 6 pin power cable for my graphics card, so therefore I found a 2 (4 pin molex) to 1 PCI-E power cable Y adapter.
- Motherboard doesn't provide that connector for the video card. the power supply does. Take the side panel off and see if it has one. Can always use a 4/6pin adaptor. Most retail cards come with one. Just make sure you have enough watts and +12V amps on the PSU to run the new card. A lot of video card upgrades require an upgrade for the power supply as well.
- Q: If I put pressure on the cord I have power but its almost impossable to work. A local computer repair said I have to replace the mother board. Can't the plug in the back be replaced? Thanks!
- Your local PC repair shop must be run by mildly retarded individuals...a loose power cable has nothing to do with your motherboard. You can try getting a new plug...if that doesn't work I might try replacing the power supply... LOL dr.bucksnort....I love it...nice one
- Q: My laptop power cable is bust and i need a new one for my Acer laptop, please can someone tell me where i can purchase one?Thankyou very much!
- you may get them from Dell quite exspensive ?50 plus, or you may get considered one of OKorder for around ?18.00 My daughter had a similar concern together with her capability unit. Dont choose for the cheap one for around ?4.00 ineffective
- Q: Hi. I just purchased a hp slimline S3420F used from OKorder. (dumb move, I know) Anyway it worked for a few days and now it won't turn on. The power supply light on the back is one but the computer won't come on. I was looking in the trouble shooting guide and one thing that is suggested is to reseat the hard disk data and power cables. It says for instructions to refer to a manual that I can't get because it's on my computer. I am on a public computer now and can't upload the manual to this computer. I switched the voltage to 230 and back to 115 real quick and that worked once. Probably just a coincidence. Now it just won't boot at all. LIke I said, the green power supply light on the back of the computer is on. I can read replies from my cell phone so perhaps someone can give me some ides what to do. I'm sure the answer lies in taking it to a repair shop. :(
- i'm assuming which you have a computer computer. in any different case they does not have instructed you that. ok, skill off; take the area panel off and you will see the motherboard, adapter taking part in cards, disk drives, and skill grant. the skill grant supplies you countless working voltages to the equipment by skill of skill of distinctive coloured wires. you will see they bypass to the countless aspects in the equipment. you have 2 or extra drives on your equipment and you'll be the optical (cd/dvd) power. The plug with the crimson yellow and black leads are the skill leads. pull that out and reseat it. it might desire to be comfortable so use care. in case you have an IDE no longer easypersistent it might desire to have a similar plug. If it rather is sata it rather is going to likely be a flat cable. the cable that passes information to those drives would be the two a eighty conductor flat ribbon cable or a sata cable it rather is a lot smaller;(reseat) get rid of and replace those. final and the single's you % to be maximum cautious with are the cables to the motherboard itself. in case you stick to the cables from the drives, you will see the place they terminate on the motherboard. Use warning right here to verify you do no longer positioned undue rigidity on the motherboard. additionally in any respect situations attempt to maintain in touch with the equipment case to keep away from static discharge.
- Q: Just curious i also want to have my ps3 in good condition so i was wondering how durable is the power and av cables
- they would last for years if you dont pull them or stomp on them... they are that good!
- Q: Okay so I am trying to upgrade my graphics card and In order ti di That I need a new Power Supply Unit. The PSU I was looking at is a 850 watt one and it has six pin connectors. The problem is all my componets are 4 pin connectors. If I get the new power supply can I somehow get a 6 pin connector to fit in a four pin like a adapter or something. BTW in order for the graphics card to function I need a six pin but all my other stuff in 4. So is there a way to work that out
- Most modern component use SATA power cables. Some older components uses the 4 pin molex connector, and by old I don't mean old really, I mean recent. Even CD/Blu-ray drives are going to SATA power now though =[, so 4 pins may be phased out in the next decade or so. Many modern PSU's come with 4 pin molex connectors, PCI-e X6 pin connectors, and a variety of other connectors you'll need. If you really are worried just check the specifications, it should list all the connectors it has. If you're getting a 850Watt PSU chances are it will have some variation of PCI-E X6 pins, either x6 pin or x6 + 2 (6 + 2 basically functions like a 6 pin and will work just like a 6 pin, so don't freak out about that either). And most modern PSU's will come with plenty of 4 pin molex cables as well. Basically, you should be fine no matter what. And yes, there are 4 pin Molex to 6 pin PCI-e power adapters, normally it takes 2 Molex to power 1 6 pin though.
- Q: i know i need the sata cable and power cable is that all i need
- Yep, that's all you need. Some older SATA drives have legacy support for normal 4 pin molex connectors in addition to the SATA power cable. If your drive is one such, do not plug in both. Choose one or the other. If you buy a retail boxed drive instead of OEM, you should get a 4 pin molex to SATA power cable if you don't have SATA power connections already. It's also possible that the harddrive you bought is SATA2 (aka SATA 300gbps). If your motherboard only supports SATA 150gbps, there's a jumper you need to leave on the drive. If you have a SATA 300 drive and your motherboard supports SATA 300, you'll need to remove the pin for full speeds. It'll work though if you forget to remove it. You can look in the user's manual to see what your motherboard supports.
- Q: What is the concept of power cable middle head? What is the difference between a terminal and a terminal?
- The simplest is to use a multimeter to find the power switch on the motherboard, to extend it to the desktop. Hands-on ability to receive the keyboard is not commonly used on the button with 2 with the bag to do the power switch to extend the line, hands-on ability in the strong words can use the remote control toy car to achieve remote control start the computer. Pay attention to open the hot hole!
