- Q: i'm building a computer soon and i was unsure if the data/power cables come with the disc/hard drive or the motherboard or the psu.. HELP

- Hi switch mode power supplies come with such a variety of different connectors these days and you would want enough to connect all the components in the computer with enough power to drive them all which in some cases might mean a larger power supply that what you have in mind.
- Q: I moved to another country and my computer arrived without the cord that goes from the power supply unit to the wall (aka I can?t turn it on). The PSU in question is a Corsair 750W Unit. I tried searching for independent cables but as expected no one sells them. Contacting the manufacturer is too much of a pain. I was wonder, could I find special generic cables that would work with the PSU? Not necessarily by the manufacturer. Thank you.
- (link defaults to 1foot, but id recommend a 6foot cable at the minimum, as 1-3 feet can be very limiting.) If using more then 1000W of power, you will need a cable capiable of it. one above is rated at 10A, and given psu efficiency (rounding way down for very inefficient ones) you should be able to get like 900-1000W+ from it w/o any worry. (that doesnt mean using a 1000W psu.. im talking about pulling 1000W+ from the wall, and unless you have like 3 gtx titans running at 100% .)

- If is an aftermarket head unit , connect the thick yellow (continuous power) and red (accessory power) wires together to the positive red wire of the power supply 12V. Next connect the black wire (ground) with the black wire of the power supply. You should be ready now.
- Q: I have a cam camcorder battery charger power cable and I want to use it as a ps1 power cable. Is It possible. The both look the same.
- If your talking about the end that looks like an 8 then yes it should work fine. That is a unerversual power cable. However if your PS1 has a small single round hole, i would be careful. Make sure the power is the same, you can check this by looking on the bottom, it should tell you what the conversion is, for ex: like 120v to 6v. Make sure your not throwing to much poser into your ps1.

- Q: Hi. I just purchased a hp slimline S3420F used from OKorder. (dumb move, I know) Anyway it worked for a few days and now it won't turn on. The power supply light on the back is one but the computer won't come on. I was looking in the trouble shooting guide and one thing that is suggested is to reseat the hard disk data and power cables. It says for instructions to refer to a manual that I can't get because it's on my computer. I am on a public computer now and can't upload the manual to this computer. I switched the voltage to 230 and back to 115 real quick and that worked once. Probably just a coincidence. Now it just won't boot at all. LIke I said, the green power supply light on the back of the computer is on. I can read replies from my cell phone so perhaps someone can give me some ides what to do. I'm sure the answer lies in taking it to a repair shop. :(
- i'm assuming which you have a computer computer. in any different case they does not have instructed you that. ok, skill off; take the area panel off and you will see the motherboard, adapter taking part in cards, disk drives, and skill grant. the skill grant supplies you countless working voltages to the equipment by skill of skill of distinctive coloured wires. you will see they bypass to the countless aspects in the equipment. you have 2 or extra drives on your equipment and you'll be the optical (cd/dvd) power. - switch power supply and see if that works if not somethings wrong with your system and halo does suck thats only game that xbox has that is good and thats pretty sorry
- Q: what would happen if i used a 10 guage power cable on a 2400 watt amp, would it blow the fuse of would the amp just creat less power? thnx
- The wire will melt and possibly short out to metal if you pull too much current, which you probably will do with 2400 watts. 10 AWG is only good for 30 amps,
- Q: I have a HP compaq laptop and a few months ago I started having a problem where my laptop sleeps/powers off when I plug in the power cable. The computer runs fine on battery but as soon as the charger cord goes in the screen goes black and the fans stop but yet the computer is still on.If the charger is plugged in when I switch on my computer I just get a blank screen. I have tried replacing the battery and the cord, changing the power settings, hibernate settings, taking the battery out etc.It's really annoying. Please help!
- Go into the Power Settings in the control panel. Check the settings there, specifically the advanced options when power is connected.
