(Depending on amp size depends on price) The local Wal-Mart sales them as well. You'll spend between $25-$100 for a good amp kit. If you don't' have one, take it to a pc shop and see if they can use a test adaptor. If theirs works, it's the adaptor. If theirs doesn't, it's then more likely the power port on your pc is damaged.
- Q: I had gave my amp a 16 volt input, then there was a spark which came from fuses that got burnt. I then replaced the fuses, rewired it nd gave it a 12 volt input it came on and went on protection. So i left it aside and after a few days i tryd connecting it again but this time it came on and it was burning the power cables no matter what guage wire i used. Any idea why its doing that?

- Q: Hi,I have this Corsair TX 750W PSU and one of the cable have 3 x4pins connectors on it. i use one of the 4pins connector on this cable to power 6 fans on my case and the other two 4pins connectors i use one to connect to two ssd drives and other connector to the IDE 1.5TB hdd. do you think that this single cable is under stress to power up all 9 items? is there rule about psu cable? i am asking this because i thought maybe the psu is affecting my gtx 670 sli performance. i get P11000 score and X5006 using 3dmark 11. so it is a bit low. i should get arouynd P16000+.i have i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz w HT and pc3200 16GB. i hope someone can point out the low score issue and power supply cable question.. i am currently running drivers 320.49
- i have a similar situation, and i use a separate cable for each (HDD, SSD, GPU, DVD) because i think puting the stress on one cable is NOT right, and if that cable got a short circuit all the hardware dies (fails)

- Q: I am installing a sound system in my car straight from scratch. I have built the subwoofer enclosure but now I have run into a problem. - You can get 12 gauge stranded wire in any length you want from Lowes or Home Depot. That will do fine for amplifiers requiring a 20 amp fuse. If you do splice the wires, then solder them and wrap them up with tape. Crimps will work OK for a few years but are not permanent.

- The principle is simple. VI=constant. Energy loss is proportional to I^2. If you want transmit power over a long distance, then V should increase. So the current will be small and energy loss will less. You can not use it because, high voltage gives more shock. When bring it near the home, reduce the voltage so the items becomes less shock giving. Welder use very high current and very low voltage may be 6o volts so that they do not get unnecessary shock.
