- Yes. You will have to drill your own hole, and add a grommet.. I reccomend a step bit. Do not forget to add a grommet to protect the wire from rubbing against the firewall.. As I was taught, Look Twice, Drill Once.. Good Luck!!

- Hi the professional opinions will also differ. that is for sure its a lot to do with taste generally and various arguments around the type of batteries used. some same as some need to be charged up then leave the power just in case of a power cut then you could have time to switch it off without loss of data. that does seem the most logical answer. however some believe charging and discharging the batteries makes them last longer. so you see there are lots of answers to your question.
- Q: Hi. I recently purchased an EVGA Geforce GTX 670 FTW video card that need two 6 pins pci-e power cables. The problem is that the 2 in my pc have L shaped dongles in which one can't connect to the video card due to how it's designed. Is there any way to extend the dongle for reach? - Q: recently i purchased an imac G4, it included everything)keyboard,speakers,mouse ect.) but, it didnt come with a powercable. i knew this when i bought it, but thought it was a standard connector,i was wrong, it is a 3 pronged connector, I have a cable that will fit, but it is only 2 prongs, (it's missing the ground pin) . i only can return this item in 4 days if there is a problem with it, i could buy a powercord, but i risk it not coming in time. Can i use my 2-pronged power cord just to test it's funcionality. (fans,chime etc.) without the computer catching on fire of any other type of failure.Chris
- It's an ordinary 3-pin PC power cable. Any desktop, screen or printer should use one. If you don't have one, you should be able to easily find one for ?5.
- Q: I've got a 1967 Sears-Kenmore sewing machine with a power cable that a cat chewed through (previous owner). The damage is near the end of the cable and the copper wires are showing. - If it's near the plug end, the one that goes into the wall, it's easy. You can buy a replacement plug, cut off the old one and wire on the new one. Wire strippers would be handy but you could strip the wires with a carefully used sharp utility knife, and you will need a screwdriver to deal with the plug itself. If it's very close to the foot pedal end or the machine plug side, that might be a bit harder, depending how much wire there is between the damaged cable and the pedal or plug. You could cut away the damaged portion, splice the wires with wire nuts, cover firmly with electrical tape and be done. If there isn't room to do that, you might have to take the foot pedal apart and re-attach the wires from the rest of the cable. Shouldn't be that hard to do. Just note where the wires went inside the foot pedal.

- The area of a cable is the CMA (circular mil area). The attached link shows calculations for conductors like house wiring. Ampacity varies not only by CMA but material and temperature.

- not a problem, just find a screw near the wire on the outside of dryer, and if not one make one,and then screw wire onto it...It will just be ground wire..........just make sure that you have right wires goint to the correct places...........
- Q: I got a Alienware m15x about a year ago, and about 8 months ago on startup it would make two incredibly loud beeps and a screen would show saying 'your charger cable is not the reccomended 150w originally shipped', even thought it is. It would only happen very rarely at first, but now its nearly every time. I don't mind just ignoring it, but if there is a quick fix it would be nice.
- Try going to the support site and seeing if there's a download called BIOS Flash or something similar. You might also try going into the BIOS yourself (It should say something like Press F2 to enter Setup) and looking around for anything out of the ordinary (as far as your knowledge extends.)
