- Q:I'm having this trouble with my 10 month old. She discovered a week ago that she can climb into the sofa. And I can not do anything else but to watch her. The second I turn around....she is up again. Should I remove the sofa from the family room? Where are we gon'na seat then? If that was the solution no house in the country would have a sofa by now..........what to do????
- Teach her how to climb down. That way once she is up she can safely get down on her own. If you are really paranoid by a padded mat to put along the base of the couch. But falling off the couch isn't going to kill her.
- Q:How do you reupholster a sofa?
- You need to dissemble the Sofa, take off arms etc., and then you can unstaple and unpick the existing upholstery to use as a pattern. Remember when choosing a fabric make sure it is an upholstery fabric and take into account the way the patterns run. I re-upholstered mine with excellent results, but it's no 5 minute job and you have to re-assemble it after you have recovered it. Good Luck.

- It depends what your decor is and where you are putting it. The second one is classier (and my favorite). The first one would be good in a game room or room where a lot of people will sit and watch tv/etc. It looks a little more casual though.

- well my dog used to sit on the sofa when i was not looking or when i was not home but when i came back home she would go in the kitchen like she did nothing. i realized she did it when she went deaf and never heard me come in .i would leave her on the couch because it might be comfy but if not they have mats that u can put on the sofa and when she jumps up it annoys her or u can get the mat with the sensor that makes a noise when she jumps up there u can buy it at dr.foster and smith they have a website

- Most definately. there isn't much cushion to the arms the wood is usually square under it so all that shifting of weight causes it to wear more quickly.
- Q:how do you reupholster a reclining sofa or chair (lazyboy)?
- Cover over the existing fabric if possible otherwise you have to carefully deconstruct the present covering so as not to tear the fabric and use the salvaged pieces as patterns for the new fabric. Secure the fabric using staples, tacks, etc. Also look into buy a slip cover instead.
- Q:How do you clean your CLOTH sofa & loveseat?
- you need to read the instructions on the sofa...sometimes you can't use water. but if you don't have it scotch guarded, and you've tested that the color isn't going to run, you could get a carpet cleaner with upholstery attachment and clean it that way. conversely you can hire like sears or something that does carpet cleaning and they will clean couches as well... usually though, a really thorough vacuuming is sufficient.

- Q:i just moved with my husband (active US Army) to Germany..I have my country's passport and my husband is a US Citizen..I know for tourist,that its up to 90 days to live in Germany..Im command sponsored but was told to get a SOFA stamp in order to reside in Germany..For those who were stationed in Germany or overseas know that its about 2-3 years to be stationed overseas..i was told in order to get a SOFA stamp,i need to get some kind of USA visa (green card)..theres some spouse,same situation,just applied for SOFA stamp and got approved without getting a permenant residence card (green card)...the military legal is no help and its hard getting thru the US consulate..any suggestion would help..thanks :)
- You do NOT need a Green Card in order to get a SOFA Stamp. That is just wrong. All best answers are for 10 points. If you are command sponsored, and you say you are, you take your passport and a copy of his orders to admin and let them process the SOFA Stamp for you.
