Should I stop him coming on the sofa completely, or is it actually going to hurt him?

- If it's brown then duck egg blue goes really well with it. You could keep the walls in a neutral off white (almond white is nice) and just put one feature wall in the duck egg blue. The feature wall is usually the one adjacent to the window. Another idea is to use greens, you could try a limestone colour or if you want to be really bold, then go for a lime green which is really trendy at the moment! If you go with the lime then I'd just do a feature wall, not the the whole lot or it will be a bit heavy. Be careful doing the feature wall as the lines will need to be really crisp to look good! If you don't want to be too bold, you could try a light coffee brown that will compliment the brown sofa, just make sure that you use some coloured accessories so it's not all too brown. Some light blue scatter cushions would look great. Get samples before you decide an paint a big enough area on the wall so you can see how it looks with your furniture. - YES!!!! If you don't let your dog on the sofa that just means you think your dog isn't fun or is a flea bag!! You have to show the dog that you really love him or her so they don't want to run away to a better family! That's why my dog never tries to runaway,I treat her like I should,respectfully!!!

- sofas are ment to be layed on if you want comfort buying a reclining sofa: there are not any that are attractive; my husband is 6'4 it took awhile but we found a beautiful recliner that is more than big enough for him made by ashley

- We have 2 La-z-boy reclines and I love them, they are 7 yrs old, we bought our La-z-boy love seat at the same time and I'm not happy with the cushions, they have flattened noticible and it is not used nearly as much as the chairs. We also purchased a la-z-boy sofa sleeper last year for our 2nd home and the cushions have flattened also with very little use. I don't have any experience with the lane brand.
- Q: I've just bought a second-hand sofa. It's really comfortable and for a good price (there's a tiny thing I can easily fix, that's why it was cheaper) and the smell isn't a bad smell at any account. I just have a very sensitive nose and all but the most subtle smells give me a headache. - I would sprinkle baking soda on you couch for a few hours and then vacuum it up in the morning or maybe next day. Baking soda should take smell out without depositing any new scents. But, you may have to sprinkle it a few times or leave it sit over night. Baking soda has always worked for me and scent problems.

- Q: We have a fabric-type sofa. We have 2 dogs. One sleeps on there as much as she can!!! She's a Choc. Lab so a larger dog. She gets the sofa smelling!I plan on taking a carpet cleaner to it to get it clean.How can I protect it from smells? - The easiest and best answer to your question is to keep you pets OFF the furniture.. The second is to keep your pet properly groomed and bathed. We have a dog and we treat her as a dog.. She is not allowed on our furniture. She has her own comfy pet bed that she lays on for hours and hours at a time. I vacuum my sofa 1x a week and use febreze on it to keep it smelling nice as I have 2 children that sit on the sofa.... If you husband wants the dogs to ruin your furniture I would suggest you get HIM a pet bed so he can lay elsewhere. You could also get a sofa slip cover that you can wash as needed or uncover when you have company.. Plastic is sooo tacky.. * Oh I read your question and it doesn't make much sense... I have a smelly dog that sleeps on the couch but, I don't want my couch to smell? Doesn't make much sense.... If you groom/bathe your dog they don't smell.... Good luck
