Somewhere you would feel really comfortable.. sit and think for a while... imagine your perfect space... what kind of colours are you drawn to? wood floors are nice, and would be warmer than tiles, both are easy to clean. Think about what you would really like from your space..is it somewhere you want to chill out? entertain? get a piece of paper and just try and think about all the things you would love in your house... try the website for Ikea, they have some pretty funky stuff, and their catalogues have made-up room scenes in the pictures.. good luck!

- I have a Nubuck leather sofa, and I use the Leather Master cleaning kit that you can buy at most furniture stores. We hardly use our furniture, so it's never been real grubby, but it's always cleaned up anything I've tried wiping up.

- The key to good repairs for cat scratches is the colour match. Contact LTT who will mix the correct colour for you and send you details of how to do the repair. Surface scratches can be repaired with Easy Colour, deeper scratches need pigment touch up.
- Q: Current old carpet is pale pink. Everything beige colour including coffee, sofa and corner tables. Wall will be paint sandy brown.
- Are you sure you don't want to go with a darker wall color? I'm afraid your beige sofa will get lost against a sandy brown wall. How about a chocolate wall color? I know it sounds dark, but it can be beautiful if brightened up with white trim and beige or off-white fabrics on furniture. To brighten the room even more, select an accent color. I love using a pretty red/burgandy with this color scheme. Next, you have 2 ways you can approach this: 1) Select all your fabrics first (pillows, furniture, etc.) and then choose a rug that will bring out one of those colors. 2) Select a rug you like and then use the color(s) in it to select your fabrics. If you have hardwoods and use an area rug, find a patterned rug. This can be anywhere from contemporary to a traditional depending upon your tastes. If you are going wall-to-wall, I would go with a shade darker than your sofa and lighter than the walls. Again, you don't want your furniture to get lost against your flooring or wall finishes.
- Q: OH NOOO! HELP! I have just spent a small fortune on a leather sofa (traditional one) buying online without having sat on or viewed. I know.... so STUPID. Closing down sale - money back is not an option.The sofa came - it's pretty uncomfortable although that I can deal with. It's like a chesterfield but the BIG problem is that what I thought would be a gentle tan shade is like a burnt ORANGE!!! Help!!! - Yikes!!! I'm not going to be much of a help becuase I'm not sure of that one... But if worse comes to worse you could always put the sofa up for sale on OKorder or something like that..... getting your money (or maybe even more) back to buy a sofa you really like.
