- Q: I have an old, black leather living room sofa set that needs to be replaced. I've been hoping that Costco would have them on sale, but they only sell leather sofas in different shades of brown. Is there a reason that Costco vendors would only sell sofas in brown? Is brown more popular than black? I need black because my wife says very dark brown is still not black, because black leather makes a statement. Thanks.
- If you shop around you can find a new black leather sofa. For leather black is a popular color. If you want black don't settle for brown.

- depends on what is on it. Coffee? cherry juice? chocolate? Dirt? pen ink?

- Are the walls staying pink? Is that the color for a bedroom and a living room? ...if you absolutely have to work with that color...why not do white curtains with a black border stripe. For the sofa...how about a contemporary gray color. Bring out pops of color with a throw and toss pillows...and you don't have to stay with all pink theme either. If you want, you can do a light cream color sofa....add pops of greens mixed with tropical hues of pinks and creams for pillows. (That's what I would pick). You can always switch out to browns/pinks for autumnal look when seasons change.

- Going to Japan without Command Sponsorship is a very bad idea. First of all you will be staying on a tourist visa and the most time you will get is 90 days. You won't be able to work legally.No you can't get a SOFA stamp until your Command Sponsored. Living in Japan is extremely expensive. Where would you live while awaiting sponsorship ? Evan a fleabag hotel cost upwards of $150 a night and then there is the issue of food. Renting evan a modest house costs $2,500 a month plus figure in at least $400 a month for utilities. Bottom line is unless you have a huge amount of savings, no way will what your planning work out. It will take 1-2 months after your married to complete the requirements for Command Sponsorship.

- Make sure its a color you like and won't get tired of. Oranges, corals.They are always cheerful colors.
- Q: Furniture stores do mention if they use 100% leather or leather-match, however our particular sofa set mentions the following, finest leather combined with the best designed leather match. I don't really care even if it is leather match, it is important for the material to be long lasting. I hope its not vinyl or anything. How can I tell what material they use in leather match? and How can I tell if any real leather is used or not?
- Leather match is vinyl. The outside back and arms will be made of leather match and the contact areas will be leather. I doubt they would mix the 'finest' leather with leather match!!!! Leather cannot be sold as leather if it is not and there has been a call to ban the use of the word leather in conjunction with other terms like 'leather match' as it is designed to mislead the customer.

- You should consider being able to wash it easily a major plus. If you can take the cushion covers off to wash them, it's also a plus. Make certain that there is a stain resistant protection on the sofa if you buy material.... Scotchguard is great.... and you can do it yourself if the store doesn't offer it free of charge. You can buy the product at any good home hardware store. Have you thought about leather? Easy to clean, care for and very child resistant...... If not for you, buy a sofa that has printed material that stains and such won't show.... stains will show big time on a solid color material. Also make certain that the springs and base of the sofa are solid if your kids have a tendancy to jump all over it......... Of course, you can do what I did when raising my kids.... don't allow them to eat, drink or use markers, pens, etc in the living room on the sofa.... My sofa is beige and still doesn't have a stain on it and I've had it for 9 years....
- Q: i just bought a leather sofa,and there is a stain on it right underneath where my dog lays(he lays on a blanket on the couch)its a circle about 2 inches in diameter.i dont know what it is ,but im assuming its a bodily fluid or saliva.does anyone know how to get it out?
- Even if you have a blanket on your sofa the dogs sweat and body oils will get through to the leather. These are very acidic and will have penetrated the leather finish causing the stain. There is little chance of you being able to remove this stain yourself as the body oils/saliva etc. have penetrated the finish on the leather. Please DO NOT use Saddle Soap Auto care products Magic Erasers Household cleaners as these will all have the potential to damage the leather further and are very unlikely to resolve the problem. Have you used a leather protector on your leather? This is crucail these days on modern leather finishes and will really help to combat such problems. To fix the current problem I would find a leather cleaning specialist who will have the correct products to deal with this problem and will then be able to apply a good quality protector to your leather and show you how to look after it correctly from now on. Try to find an LTT trained technician as these are the best in the world and their products have been extensively tested.
