- Q: what can i use to take nail polish off a sofa chair?
- first of all try acetone free nail polish remover on a NON VISIBLE part of your sofa, ie under the cushions or somewhere you won't see it - if it damages the cushion cover it won't matter too much and you won't have caused more damage you could try putting clear polish on top of the polish that is dry and wiping both off together - again i would try this on a spare bit of material before you try it on your cushion failing that, try getting a professional sofa cleaning company in or see if you can get a replacement cover from the shop you bought it from
- Q: I want to buy a sofa set but its $3000...do they have discount for senior citzen, students, or AAA or something? how can I get some kind of discount ?
- If you are a member of Costco you are already getting discounts because of the membership. I'm not sure if they will give any further discounts on the sofa set but you can always ask.
- Q: How do you keep it clean and is it necessary to use leather conditioner all the time?
- We have a black leather sofa and love seat and love it. If you have kids and/or pets it is the most durable thing you can buy. Also, you are better off buying a less expensive grade of leather as it is a little thicker and less prone to any punctures or scratches than the more expensive, thinner and softer grades. We use leather conditioner about twice a year (more often if we think about it or have time). The rest of the time you can just wipe any spills with damp cloth.

- Hmm i doubt you are allergic to the leather from the sofa. In my opinion it would most likely be from the newly fitted carpet. There are different types out there, and some are well known to affect asthma sufferers (even if you dont have asthma the small fibres can affect your breathing). If i were you i would go see your doc and book a full allergy screening before you make any hasty decisions.
- Q: I am moving into an apartment and would love to get some help ...Trying to create a modern look and Im centering the whole decor on our sofa set which is beige green with black brown wood on the edges of its arms.The color palette for the decor will be slat blue, white and a bit of orange (just for the flowers)..Wondering if it okay to get a white coffee table...The tv console is also black-brown.Also, what color should i chose the area rug ? - Choose a lighter green, perhaps a 'sea green' that has lots of 'white' in it ... or choose a pale yellow color. I like the hunter green carpet and the 'sea green' walls, though ... but if you do use the 'same' color, just lighter, then you'll need to choose a good 'contrasting' color to 'brighten up' the whole room ... a nice 'medium red' would work, or a 'pattern' with pink and burgundy would also be good.

- I don't think it has a SPECIFIC name but it seems to have a scroll edge to it, yes it's very vintage but I don't think it has a specific name. It looks as though that it could be from the Art Deco era, with the coloration and the distinction of it. Although the design on the back would assume it's more victorian than anything else, but I've used victorian sofas and this is no victorian. But I would suggest using that website the first person had suggested because you might find something similar to it. Good Luck!

- The football pump is higher pressure (relatively) and lower volume than what you need for your little sofa. A football requires 9 or 10 psi while I would guess you need 3 or 4 psi in the sofa. Plus the needle likely will not fit the fill holes in the sofa. A larger volume pump such as used to inflate rubber boats or camp gear would be faster and easier, and they come with a variety of different sized nozzles.

- That depends on the size, quality, upholstery, etc... A good quality American made carved wood sofa can run as high as $15,000. A mid-priced one could run between $2500-$4000 The cheapest molded resin sofa China would probably start in the $800 range. I'm a proponent of real wood, domestic construction, and 8-way hand-tied frames. They will cost more, but you will never replace them.
- Q: I'm moving to Korea in a month and I was told that both my daughter and I needed to have a sofa stamp on our passports. What I can't figure out is, what this is, and why I need one. Also where can I get one?
- SOFA = Status of Forces Agreement. It's the agreement we have with different countries that, among other things, establish the terms and treatment of hosting our military there. Don't know where you get a stamp for your passport though.
