- Q:I tried nail varnish remover (!) but it just made it worse. My couch is white and I live in a rented flat, so its really important I get it off!!
- Usuanlly a non-acidtone nail remover will remove the spot without eating thru the fabric, but the trick is to blot it and not rub it. Considering that you have a white sofa though, and depending upon the type of fabric depends upon how it hold holds the stain. If it's on a seating cushion, and it still dosen't work your best bet is to flip it.
- Q:How to deal with rattan furniture mildew
- Indonesian rattan and water cane are natural materials, easy to grow mildew in wet weather, PE imitation rattan is a plastic rattan, industrial synthetic material will not grow mildew. The method of natural materials preparation of rattan furniture mildew is the most simple towel after sun rattan is completely dry and then put it back; if no conditions in the sun outside can only use the dryer or wind blowing, indoor put some desiccant or charcoal moisture absorption.

- Ugh - never found a futon that was comfortable. Are there sleeper sofas smaller than a 'full' or 'queen' size? I doubt it. (The smaller size would be a 'twin'.) You could buy a frame and mattress for a twin bed and disassemble it when not on use, then prop mattress against the wall with a protective cover over it. Or, research Intex inflatable beds. These 'air mattresses' are 2-3 times the thickness of a regular air mattress so they stand up off the floor and are very comfortable. You could also get a twin frame and lay a sheet of plywood in the frame to raise it up even more and look like a real bed. It would disassemble and take less space than the first suggestion!

- I just got a used Broyhill couch and it's in wonderful condition. A lady at church gave it to us when she moved, and it's several years old. But it's almost like new. Still very firm, the cushions still fit well. It's great.
