- interesting. Feathers aren't usually used for sofas because they compact so much, they don't offer good support/structure. Well- the only solution I know of, is making your own liner. You would have to open the cushions, and If there IS a liner in there already, take it out, and basically make a pillowcase around with with another fabric that will hold in the feathers. (you need a VERY tight weave so they don't come through- check your fabric shop for recommendations near you). If there is no liner in there (loose feathers when you open the zippered cushions) well, that's you're problem. You need to measure and custom sew a liner for it, and put all the feathers inside that. Then you would re-put on the real outer cover to your cushions. If the actual SOFA part (not just additional cushions) has feathers coming out, unless you're very handy, I'd get quotes on getting the whole thing reupholstered. Good Luck.
- Q: I brought home a new microsuede sofa, and didn't even think about the static problem, until my 3-year old daughter sat down on it. I am thinking Static Guard, but then I wonder if those first couple globs that drip from the first spray, might fall onto the sofa and stain it. And then I'm wondering if I were to use dryer sheets, would the fabric then feel like it had an almost waxy like residue left on it (as subtle as it might be). Has anyone experienced this before? The fabric is cocoa, so it's not like I can hide any stains in dark fabric. Thanks for your help!

- You may have faded the sofa. However, you could try cleaning the entire sofa and if you have an attachment piece and it is still wet remove as much water from that area as possible before hand. If the couch is faded, you may be better off just getting a slip cover. Good luck!
- Q: A sticker was stuck to my microfiber/suede (? - not sure which type of fabric it is) sofa and left a sticky residue on it. How can I remove the stickiness?
- I had sticky residue on a wood effect floor, and was worried about using anything other than water on it. I used baby oil, and it worked a treat. A tiny drop on a kitchen towel, and the residue came off easily. I then just wiped over the floor with a damp cloth. Try it on a bit of leather at the back first though to make sure that it won't damage the leather.
