- Q:On TV they always fill a room with sectionals. How do you decide what is too big? I have a decent sized family room (14x14) and I'm considering a sectional in the middle of the room instead of against walls (which is more traditional). They do it on the design shows all the time but I'm curious if there are particular guidelines or rules...

- Today it is called microfiber but it is a man made replacement fabric that simulates mohair. Mohair was used big time up until the 50s because it is so durable. But its cost when up so high it was priced out of the market. ???????????
- Q:i dont want to re-upholstery my sofa. its too expensive. it costed me a lot. the stain came from sweat and dust.
- Try woolite with resolve for upholstery on the sofa, spot shot on the carpet. if you don't have a steam cleaner, rent a rug doctor from your local grocery store, or walmart be sure to get the upholstery attachments. Buy a small bottle of carpet cleaner for the machine, a can of spot shot a small can of oxi-clean. Pretreat with the spot shot, add 1 scoop of oxi-clean to the water with the carpet cleaner clean the sofa carpet. Add 1 scoop oxi-clean with every water refill (and the capful of shampoo) it should all look like new. I use this method everytime I clean my light beige carpets it works great.
- Q:i just moved with my husband (active US Army) to Germany..I have my country's passport and my husband is a US Citizen..I know for tourist,that its up to 90 days to live in Germany..Im command sponsored but was told to get a SOFA stamp in order to reside in Germany..For those who were stationed in Germany or overseas know that its about 2-3 years to be stationed overseas..i was told in order to get a SOFA stamp,i need to get some kind of USA visa (green card)..theres some spouse,same situation,just applied for SOFA stamp and got approved without getting a permenant residence card (green card)...the military legal is no help and its hard getting thru the US consulate..any suggestion would help..thanks :)
- Green Card/Alien Resident Card is NOT necessary for you to get the SOFA Stamp at all. You will not go through the US Consulate as you are not a US Citizen, you need to go through the German Consulate and find out if a visa from them for your home country is required or not. They can require it or they might not. Either way you will get the SOFA stamp after arrival. If you are already in Germany then you need to go through German Immigration.

- Yep - I had a Flexsteel sofa from the 70's. I just got rid of it about 4 years ago - not because it went to hell, but the color was just so out of style and I couldn't stand looking at it anymore! (gold and green) Flexsteel is not the top of the line, but I have to admit - It went through 2 kids and 6 pets and it lasted.
- Q:I have a sofa that is made of suede its in a dark cream colour and someone has split a bit of false nail glue on it. I have tried soap powder, washing up liquid, Star Drop, nothing is removing it. Does anyone no how to remove it without damaging the fabric as its SUEDE. I have heard that you can use Nail polish remover with acetone in it but I don't want to damage my sofa. The glue has left a dark circle mark about the size of your pinkie nail. Can anyone help me please?????? Thanks
- U can use nail vanish remover with aceton in it to take it off. It wont damage the sofa. Im sure it wont. Or u can ask to buy aceton in a nail bar. It as good
- Q:My dog pulls it out from the sofa, brings it in an open area, and just starts humping it.O_OMy dog is a female, by the way. Is this normal...?
- Yes this is normal for both sexes the dog is trying to dominate the sofa cushion. Dogs hump for more reasons then just sex alone, humping can be a a sign of dominance also, if you don't like what she is doing, correct her when she does this.

- i had mayflower when I moved from north to south - they have been relatively sturdy. the subject became the human beings packing. you truly would desire to observe them - they packed putting outfits in with chairs and another purely truly stupid issues. no longer something adequate although that once i'm shifting returned i does no longer hit them for an estimate!
