- Q: I just bought a second hand two seater white leather sofa, modern design with stainless steel legs. I don’t have a theme to my living room yet, but i like modern clean cut not too fussy style but a bit warm as well.What would you suggest for the rest of the furniture in the room be like in colour : two chairs, coffee table and TV stand. I have white walls for now, but open to something different – all suggestions are welcome
- Go to the shoe section in any store and buy something called Saddle Soap. It looks like a shoe polish but it lathers up and cleans the leather without drying it up...it actually puts moisture into it. Then wipe something called Mink Oil on it and u will keep it clean and soft with out spending money on expensive leather cleaners that don't work. All together these should cost you about 5 bucks.
- Q: Long story short....a leather sofa and chair was left on a backporch and was rained on.What is going to happen to the leather once it dries? Is it ruined or can it be treated and look decent again?Any information is greatly appreciated.
- Make sure that the frame and springs (if there are any) are not also wet. Once the leather has completely dried rub in some pure bees wax and it will restore it to near what it was.
- Q: I need a new sofas and sofa chairs for my living room. It's a very bright room with lots of outside lights. Carpet is very light, almost white but not quite. The walls are little bit darker than the carpet but very light. Ceiling is white. Also, the ceiling is high, almost cathedral type.Should I get a darker color furniture or stay light?I don't know jack about decorating.Thanks.
- I think if you went with another light color, the room would look to bland and hospital-like. If you want to stay in the neutrals I would suggest a dark brown. If you choose that, you would need some colorful accents (pillows mainly). If you want to try color I would suggest a merlot color. I hope this helps!

- There are no commercial cover made for reclining sofas. You need to either have them completely re-upholstered, or have custom slip covers made. Both will be more expensive than new.
- Q: My 2 year old got his hands on a ball point pen and drew all over my microfiber sofa and ottoman. Was just wondering if there was anything I could use to get it out?
- again the microfiber sofa and the pen. It's a daily occurrence here on answers. Take some alcohol or lighter fluid and put it on a towel, wipe across the ink marks and change to another position with the towel. Let the towel adsorb the ink. When no more ink comes off on the towel, switch to soap and water. Do the same. Just don't push the ink in further, be gentle. PS, although the hairspray idea has some merit, the question I have is How do I get hairspray off my microfiber sofa?
