Q: Can I lay a wooden floor above the carpet?: Generally saying, it's not a good idea. It's ok to lay carpet on the floor.

Q: my carpet smells like cat pee, but i know my cat doesnt pee on my floor. My family is the original owners of our house and she is the only cat that has been in this house. how would i get the smell out of my carpet and if for some reason she is peeing on the carpet how would i get her to stop? also i thought it could be the smell of dust but i vacuum, how would i get my carpet to stop smelling?: Clean the carpet with White Vinegar to remove the urine smell. The smell of the vinegar will take 2-3 hours to go away. Or at the pet shop, get a black light which will show you where the urine spots are on the carpet. Then use enzyme cleaner, also found at the pet shop,to clean the carpet. White vinegar costs about $2. while the enzyme cleaner costs around $15. If the cat isn't fixed this will cause the cat to pee on the floor/carpet elsewhere. So get the cat fixed if not yet done. A unirary tract infection will also cause the cat to lose control to pee on the carpet. If the cat is stressed it will pee on the carpet.

Q: I have just gotten a large area rug and Ihave put it on a bare floor. Do I need to put something under the rug. It is not slipping or anythhing.: I would say no.But I think once you start washing it,it will lose it's grip.

Thank youDanielle: For a rug this large, I suggest using either a foaming cleaner, like Woolite Spray Foam Carpet cleaner or a dry granule cleaner like Capture or Resolve. The both types of cleaners are a simple application. Just spray on the foam, agitate with a brush to work into the fibers, allow to dry and vacuum up. Dry granule, sprinkle on surface and work into the fiber with a brush and let dry, then vacuum. If you have spots or stains, just work either into it with a brush. I like the Woolite because it also contains a scotch guard that leaves a stain repellent and makes cleaning up spills easier without staining.

Q: my carpet color right now is gray, and i wanna change it to red. i was figuring maybe i can bleach it first and let that dry before i go with my final color. do you think this'll work?: just take out the crx carpet buy a red carpet and use the old crx carpet as a stencil to cut your new carpet

Q: Alright , so we forgot and left the portable heater on the carpet and overnight it caught fire and burnt the carpet, its a pretty huge area.. Any idea's of how to make it less visible or even patch it ?Thankks MUCHHH .: yes, a carpet installer can patch it if there can be found a piece of carpet that closely matches it.if you can get it at a carpet store that would be the best,otherwise you can take a piece out of a bedroom closet or somewhere it won't be as noticeable.you can do it yourself but it is very complicated to explain on here.basically it is like a patch.
