Q: I have a pretty basic office swivel chair, but the back of it is now very wobbly. It tilts to the right and back a bit most of the time, but can be rotated to stay upright like a normal chair back. I checked underneath the chair and it seems like there's nothing there to really secure the connection to the back. I've also tried tightening that knob on the bottom of the chair but it doesn't do anything. What can I do about this??: sale in second hand shop

Q: So, I want a new chair mainly for gaming. I'm trying to narrow it down to two different types. Either a normal office chair (But an expensive one. The one I want is $229).. or a chair meant specifically for gaming (The X rocker Pro).. built in speakers and everything.I'm kind of leaning to the gaming chair, cause my current office chair is comfy until I try and play TV games. What do you think?: Both types of chair are better for different things. The office chair is better if you are sitting at a desk playing computer games but you cannot really lounge in front of a tv with it. The X rocker chair is more of a lounging play game for 8 hours straight chair but is too low for a computer desk and not comfortable in front of a monitor for long periods of time. The draw back to the x rocker pro is if you want to use the sound you have to have it plugged in and alot of people complain about wire management for it. Just figure out what you play more and get the chair. I use an office chair myself with a back that has a multi-tilter function so that I can adjust it depending on what I am doing.

Q: Hi!I have a typical desk/office chair and I want to reupholster its seat.It is made of nylon fabric.I would like to know if it is possible to find a store that sales upholstery for desk chairs (And which also has upholstery that will fit my chair properly), and how hard will it be to take off the current upholster and put the new one (Is it possible anyway?)Thanks!: There should be screws underneath holding the seat to the chair. Take them out and the seat will lift off. Measure the size and buy fabric, which by the way Walmart sells heavy grade upholstery fabric. But, buy it where each seat piece will have at least 4 inches overhang on each side. Just lay the seat on the fabric and use a staple gun to staple the new cloth on. (Try to keep the padding that is there now, unless it's worn or too dirty.) When stapling, start in the center of the first side and work out. If there's too much excess fabric, just trim it off. Then re-screw them back on the chair. Voila!

Q: ok so i was really pissed this morning at my parents and i was like throwing things around, slamming doors, etc.. and when i got up from sitting at a kitchen chair i kind of slammed it on the ground too hard and one of the legs broke off.. (i know i have anger issues) and now im freaking out. it wont stand up straight on its own but i think i might have an idea.. My mom made these covers for the chairs and they go all the way down to the ground so they would hide the broken leg. In our spare room theres another chair just like it and im thinking of just switching the chairs since no one even really sits in the spare room chair, and its in the corner so i could just prop it up on the wall so it wont fall over. Is this a good idea? I will probably tell my mom later, but right now is not a good time. Any other suggestions on what i should do???? Please no mean answers, i know this sounds bad.. Please and thank you!!: She likely will figure out pretty quickly you switched chairs and that will only add to the heat. Especially if the chairs are not the same make. Your best bet is to say you got up and accidently knocked the chair over and it broke. Being up front is going to suck but its the best way. Pull the bait and switch with the chairs and it will come back on you in a MUCH bigger way....

Q: I have a chocolate brown couch but no chair. I haven't been able so far to find a chair the same color in my price range. I've found beige chairs that are affordable though.: I used to have a gold couch which I paired with 2 chocolate brown, sueded chairs, so, no - as long as the colors of the furniture complement or contrast go with the carpet wall color - mix n/ match as much as you want. Beige, tan, ecru, gold, burnt orange all go well if you want to stick with earth tones, or, are going for a southwestern feel. If you want a more modern feel, you could combine the couch with chairs in shades of blue (aquas, powders, teals, etc.) or pinks, light purples, ivory or even black. You're the one who has to live there. Do what feels right for yourself.

Q: Over the years the foam in my leather chair has lost its ability to to firmly support someone. Replacing the foam is not a DIY endeavour. Are there any reupholsters in the Toronto area who can do something like this at a reasonable cost? The ones I have contacted are too pricey.: Hi pc, I would suggest if you have any local Upholstery Schools ( colleges Night Classes etc ) in your area you may want to call them and inquire of any available help with your chair cushion. Many times the students in class are willing to replace and repair as part of the upholstery classes. Which because they are students, this repair may cost you a lot less. Good Luck!
