Q: The area of a rug is 108 square feet and the length of its diagonal is 15 feet. Find the length and width of the rug.I don't really need an answer, but the process I would use to get the answer would be helpful. I'm assuming you have to wet up two equations to solve it. This is done in most large commercial buildings before people occupy it since industrial carpets, glue, and paint are a little more toxic. Sometimes they'll let it bake for 24 hours to get rid of any smells. Otherwise it may take a few weeks for the smell to go away

Q: how do you remove a moldy smell from carpet?: It depends on how deep the mold is. If it's in the padding, then you will have to replace the carpet. However, there are a few things you can do: 1) If you have the same carpet in the closets, cut a hole in the carpet and cut a hole of the same size from the carpet in the closet. You won't notice it in the closet as much as you think. 2) If the padding IS modly as well, please consider replacing the carpet.

Q: My carpet is very stained and is supposed to be tan but because i have three kids and a dog who spill everything they can on it, its now multi colored and i have tried almost every carpet cleaner there is to try and get it clean. Ive used every resolve product, oxyclean, baking soda, and a lot of white vinegar and nothing works! Ive searched in resolved questions about this and got a lot of mixed answers. Some said they did it and it worked great then others said it can make them even worse by making the glue in the carpet fibers come apart. We live in post housing and i already know we are going to have to have the carpet replaced when we leave but that's not for another year or two. Im so embarrassed by it that i don't even like to have our friends over. I would like to know if anybody has bleached their carpets to make them white and if they have did the fibers in the carpets unravel weeks or months later??? Or did everything go okay and the carpets look better???: try vingar baking soda mixed wait till the fizz is gone and then get a washcloth or paper towel fold it dip into the mix press firmly on to the stain i tried it and it worked but im not sure if we have the same carpets mine is also tan

Carpet comes 12 foot wide so the smallest pc you can get to fit your room is a pc 12x9' 6 Thats 114 s/f and at the low end ( you can still get cheaper) of 3$ a s/f thats 342$,, This won t include rip up and disposal and furniture moving ( which you can do all that yourself) . Going with a black carpet ( which will show ever thing) you will limit your self in selection and black carpet generally runs more since its hard to get a consistent dye on carpet being this dark. It's a piece of rubber like fabric that goes under your rug and prevents the rug from moving, bunching or curling on hard floors or carpet. You can get one at Bed Bath and Beyond for like 70-100 bucks... kinda pricey I know, but you may be able to find them cheaper.

Q: I mean, he can sleep on the couch, on his bed, on our beds, even the pillow pet is softer than the carpets! He prefers sleeping on entrance mats, the carpet in front of my fridge, the carpet in front of my stove and on the carpet under my bed. It's cute, but weird.: I know, same with my two indoor cats Tinkerbell and Diablo. They will sleep on the carpet at the bottom/top of our staircase, their cat tree, their dog-sized pillow bed, the pillow bed in our room by the bay window, at the foot of our beds. I noticed when they choose resting on the carpet, they have a view of people coming and going. Since they can see all areas of our home I'm thinking it's instinct or something along those lines. Neither of my cats are skittish so they don't feel the need to hide. Diablo though, occasionally sleeps under our bed probably so he's not disturbed by family.
