- Q:i have looked around and nobody seems to be selling white carpet...yeah i know it's gonna get dirty and no i dont want a white area rug i want white carpet. I live in florida near tampa. Any help would be nice!!
- Have you asked the carpet stores that you were already to if they could order the white carpet for you? I wouldn't think that should be a big deal at all. A lot of carpet stores may not have all colors of carpeting available on sight. They should have plenty of samples for you to look at and you choose the one you want. If you don't see it in the store, that doesn't mean they can't order it for you. There shouldn't be an extra charge for ordering the carpet you want.
- Q:I am having new vinyl flooring installed in the bathroom and I know that rubber or latex backed rugs can stain the floor yellow. Any suggestions? Thanks!
- Have you considered a foam backed bamboo rug? This won't yellow the floor and it won't slip and slide either. A rug with no backing is NOT a good idea in a bathroom. As for a rubber backed rug, if you only leave it on the floor when you use it after a shower or bath and keep it on the rim of the tub the rest of the time, it will take years and years and years before the flooring is yellowed... It's leaving it on the floor all the time that yellow the flooring...

- You may not .. Do not use bleach unless your carpet is made to withstand bleach{ there are only a few in the last few years that will} Try your manufactures recommondations ..Or call a carpet cleaner ,, they may help you

- I have always had hard wood floors, so I use area rugs and rug runners under foot. I have found that the best rugs are wool rugs. My all time favorite rugs are hand hooked rugs. They are very durable.

- Vaccum the carpet first and then spray resolve (its a carpet cleaner and you can buy it at grocery markets) spray on it. Let it set for just a little while then blot it out. Do not rub as you would rub it more into the carpet. I would use paper towels (white preferred) to use to blot. Good Luck!

- I like the idea of taking it from a closet. Just want to forewarn you that the pet deposit is likely not going to be returned to you. And, if it were my carpet your pet ruined/damaged, I'd likely ask for it to be replaced- same condition as when you moved in- with normal wear and tear. I think puppy is going to cost you a bit for this chewing.

- Carpet tiles look fine. I'm in a commercial building where carpet tiles are used almost everywhere, and they look and function quite well. They also have the advantage that if damage occurs, or wear becomes too noticeable, the tiles can be pulled up and replaced. Prices vary a lot according to the design, depth of the pile, resistance to wear, etc.
