- Q: How do you get black nail polish out of beige carpet?
- Do not use brake cleaner on your carpet. Any liquid that can penetrate to the carpet backing, that is used as a solvent, will damage/soften the backing. This will not be in your carpets best interest. A professional certified hot water extraction carpet/upholstery cleaner has products available to work successfully in thes application. They are both paste like, and come in tubes similar to toothpaste packaging. They will not penetrate down deep into the carpet. When the nail polish is softened and loose, it can be extracted from the carpet using an upholstery tool and hot water extraction. To find such a cleaning firm, go on the internet to IICRC, where a list of certified cleaners for your area of the country can be located. No, do not try nail polish remover. This is acetone and will penetrate to areas in the carpet where it will cause damage. Good Luck

- first off , WHY ?? , you need to have some of the same carpet , cut out the bad carpet ( you need to cut it out between the row's ) then do the same with the piece that you are going to put in ( make sure that it's the same size ) then silicone the edges on both pieces and let it dry , next put double face tape down on top of the pad ( if glued down skip this step ) then you need to use seam glue on all edges , next carefully put in the new piece and roll it with a tractor (carpet tool ) then set something heavy on top of it and let it dry over night and roll it with the tractor again.

- OHHHH NOOO! That happened to us once. I'm SO sorry you're going through this. I feel your pain. Sounds like a job for Servpro, if you have them in your area. They came to our house and took care of everything. They were very professional. We filed a homeowners claim, because we had so much damage done to our house. We had to just rip out the old carpet and get new. Good luck, hun. I'd definitely hire someone to do it professionally or else you could get black mold in there. That's a real health hazard.
