FAQ

I have a 120 year old house w/ a flat roof, no attic and no insulation. I have a dropped ceiling on the top floor - drop is about 5". Ceiling tiles are not insulated. I plan on getting insulation and having it rest on top of the ceiling tiles.I live in Pittsburgh, PA where we get hot summers and cold winters. What would be a better insulation - traditional fiberglass or radiant? Radiant appeals to me since installation is easier, but if it won't be as effective, I won't do it. Thanks!
I would get the lightest by weight. Make sure your structure that holds the tiles can carry the extra weight of the insulation with out warping or bending!
Drawing a candy shop, what should i put on the ceiling apart from lights??
Ceiling fans come to mind first. You could color each fan a different color or you could color each fan to look like candy cane stripes. If you are going for an old fashion candy shop, draw ornate ceiling tiles, they are sharp!
What is the relationship between the two? Or who is engaged in the electronics industry, can give me talk about the industry's industrial chain and technical process? Thank you.
The concept of glass is generally hard and fragile objects, and is not suitable as a structural material, but if it is made of silk, its strength is greatly increased and has a softness, so with the shape of the resin can finally become a good structural material. Glass fiber with its diameter smaller its strength increased. As a reinforcing fiber glass fiber has the following characteristics, these features make the use of glass fiber far more than other types of fiber to a wide range of development speed is also far ahead of its characteristics are listed below: ?? (1) high tensile strength, elongation is small (3%). ?? (2) high elasticity coefficient, good rigidity. ?? (3) elastic limit within the large elongation and high tensile strength, so the absorption of large impact energy. ?? (4) for the inorganic fiber, with non-flammable, good chemical resistance. ?? (5) water absorption is small. ?? (6) scale stability, heat resistance are good. ?? (7) good processing, can be made into stocks, beams, carpets, weaving, and other different forms of products. ?? (8) transparent through the light. ?? (9) with a resin having a good adhesion to the surface treatment agent. ?? (10) cheap.
what is ceiling soundproofing?
Usually, it's fiberglass insulation that's installed between the ceiling joists. If it's a multi-story building, the insulation absorbs sound from the floor above, so you don't hear it so much on the floor below.
Now a lot of people with rock wool ceiling, rock wool ceiling what is special?
First, relative to the mineral wool board, gypsum board, glass fiber board, it is more safe: fire rating A1, moisture RH100, sound absorption up to 1.0, and excellent indoor clean antibacterial antibacterial. 1, health: the fiber is non-carcinogenic substances, rock wool will not breed bacteria, waste can also be recycled. 2, fire: E excellent sound ceiling for the A1 grade non-combustible material, when the fire occurs, will not produce any smoke and droplets. 3, moisture: excellent sound grams ceiling plate made of hydrophobic rock wool. With complete anti-decay, the product will not rot, mold, soften and breed bacteria 4, sound absorption: rock wool is a natural high sound-absorbing material, excellent sound grams of the roof with excellent acoustic performance. You do not have to sacrifice the appearance of the use of surface pits, perforations or direct perforations for the purpose of obtaining high acoustic comfort. France St. Gobain's gifted grams of rock wool ceiling is very good, you can contact the waist five six two two two two two two
Ask the rectangular aisle how to design, who knows?
But for the smaller size of the small units, better than the cap is the practice of blurring.
We just remodeled and now have a family room in our basement. This is right under our upstairs living room. All noise in the basement comes directly upstairs. There is duct work running across the basement ceiling to the floor vents in the living room. We have nothing on the basement ceiling right now. Any suggestions of how to reduce the sound coming up? And no, getting rid of our kids is not an option!
Those neighbors getting to you? Hahaha, I used to think about this during the short time I lived in an apartment. Good luck! Yeah I would say insulation and if it's possible have a good 8 to 12 inches of it all the way across the area you are sound proofing
