I just want to know the purpose of this.: It used to keep horses warm during work, mainly horses that are body clipped and don't have any hair to protect themselves from the cold. It's especially great for before warm up and to help with cool down as well. Several have ones that wrap around the riders legs as well to help keep them warm too. You can ride in all the gaits with it, although I haven't seen many people jump with them.

Pull a piece of the yarn from the face. Just one will never be missed. Burn it, smells like burning hair, silk. smells like plastic, rayon. Smells like cloth, cotton. Also real silk is very, very strong. Cotton and rayon are must weaker.

Q:I just dropped a candle on my light colored carpet and red candle wax is everywhere. Any ideas on how to remove it?: Use a butter knife scrap off as much as possible. Next use some paper, such as news paper or typing paper put an iron on low heat....use the paper over the wax heat it with the iron. The heat will draw the wax into the paper...be very careful ... don't leave the iron for a long time ... keep checking how it is doing ... as it draws into the paper ... keep changing it with fresh paper so you don't spread the wax ... don't melt your carpet with high heat settings. I wouldn't recommend it however, if you have small children that will be eating at that table on a regular basis.

Q:OK, my pet pooped on the carpet, didn't notice it for awhile. It dried, I picked it up, vacuumed the carpet as well as I could, sprinkled a little (not too much) baking soda into the carpet and rubbed in it. Then I put diluted vinegar (half and half with water) in a container and soaked a paper towel, wrung it out and scrubbed the carpet with it. Does anyone know if this is true?: Look, it depends on carpet cleaning method! If you clean your carpet with shampoo carpet cleaner then it will get dirty quickly, cause foam that is left on the carpet attracts soil and dust.

Q:i have 5 rugs and they are pretty grubby now, can i wash them in the washing machinegt;?: I have a sheepskin rug that I have washed, never thought about using Woolite however I am sure that works great :). Since it is a hair like fur I actually have used a little shampoo in the washer with it. It worked just fine, I was a bit nervous to put the rug in the dryer so i just let if hang for a while to air dry and also use a brush to bring the life back into the fur.
