Q: Need to figure out what our max budget needs to be for new carpet for about 900 sf.
I've looked into this myself for my house. Check out Home Depot or Lowes, both have installation services. The maximum I saw there was around $4 a square foot installed. It really depends on the type and quality of the carpet. I was looking at some nice carpets that were around $3 a square foot installed. Not to luxurious but not cheap quality either.
Q: i'm installng carpet myself and this sort of carpet usually requires the installation of carpet padding underneath. what would happen if i were to lay the carpet without the padding? i'm just trying to cut costs. the floor underneath is some sort of particle wood.
Carpet padding extends the life of carpet. Better quality padding is more important than carpet grade. It will last longer and look and feel much nicer! Do not glue to wood subfloor! That is just bad advice! Future cleaning would be next to impossible and leave stains from glue and rot out the particle wood.
Q: I have carpet in the living room, it's not a big room, average size. I have a BISSELL steam cleaner, the one with the bristles, and I can empty the tank 5 times and keep going over the room and it still comes up dirty (the water) Is this normal? It's not possible to clean it until the water comes up clean is it? This carpet is probably old, we moved in a year ago so I am not sure how old it is.
Clean the best you can.. You d be absolutely shocked at the amount of dirt is under the carpet and pad even in the cleanest of houses.. I ve pulled up many carpet and the home owners are appalled at the amount of dirt that is under there. GL
Q: Well I have a four year old cat and all of the sudden he just started peeing on this one rug. I've cleaned it but he continues! What do I do?
This is usually an indication of a urinary infection. A vet can prescribe an antibiotic to clear it up.
Q: 1600*800 what size carpet is appropriate below the tea table?
Generally according to the sofa and coffee table from the distance to set, as long as the big tea table 50~80 centimeters can be, that is, 1.7 meters *0.9 meters or so (can be bigger, even the living room shop is better).
Q: I've recently noticed rugs popping up on my yards in the evenings, it goes down to around 4oC here at night right now, and all horses are in their own fields, not in a herd. I personally am not too sure on rugging yet. My mare is a 16.2, 10 year old Irish Sports Horse, and I simply refuse to clip her for my own reasons. She has been rugged for most of her life with her old owner, and obviously it's unfair of me to deny her rugging now, so no rug is not an option.I was just wondering how cold it has to get before you start rugging. I myself will rug in horrible rain, and at 1oC or below, but should I be doing it at higher temps? I don't want to ruin the growth of her winter coat, and she gets hay and a feed every night.
While I agree with the other answers it should also be considered that horses in the wild are herd animals and therefore do group together either by sticking their rumps together to keep warm or sometimes horses stick their muzzles together and breathe on each other to keep breathing warm air. I would suggest the horses ears and behind them. Are they cold? If they are cold I would suggest blanketing/rugging them especially if the horses are going to be alone in separate fields. There are several types of blankets/rugs. Some are thicker and some are thinner. Lightweight blankets are for temperatures that do not go down past 40 degrees. Medium weights are for temperatures that do not go much past below freezing and heavy blankets are for the days when it is freezing. You can decided between the lightweight or the medium weight.
Q: I have talked to 4 companies about re-carpeting our home and all they can do is dog on other companies and say how they are the best. They all give contradicting advice. One guy said, quot;Stainmaster is just branding, use our r2x, it's better and cheaper.quot; One guy said quot;R2x, stain master... all a scam. All carpet is stain resistant these days.quot; And another guy said, quot;Stainmaster is the best!quot; We want a plush carpet that is stain resistant (we have a small dog). I don't care about having the best as I am carpeting my first home and won't be here forever. I also cannot find objective reviews on carpet brands. Why is this? I am starting to realize that the carpet industry is a very competitive business and how do I know that I am getting a quality product.
Stain Master is just a name. You pay a bit more for Stain Master because they advertise on T V .Almost all stain blockers are the same. They cover the same types of stains and you treat them the same. Like any product ,carpet is a competitive market so you will get competition. What you have to do is compare carpets from one place to another. Compare warranties, the weight of the carpet and the wear warranties. Once you compare apples to apples only you can get a fair judgment. Compare installation costs, is furniture moving and rip out of the old included? See in the installers are certified. This may cost a bit more but worth it. Non certified installers can some times void warranties. Not all carpets have stain blockers , most do but not all. Take all warranties with a grain of salt. This is always based on a pro rated system. Carpets will lose a bit every year. I myself preferred Mohawk. They stood behind their product, Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: My teacher gave me a list of places in California to find the addresses of. I've successfully managed to find all of them except the last one; the red carpet. I'm aware that this isn't a place but i still need help. Can anyone explain where it is located and if not whats a good explanation to tell your very strict economics teacher? XD
To be appropirate in Orange County, CA, one must be Republican, altho one does not might desire to appreciate lots approximately politics or present day activities. One ought to positioned on all their rings at as quickly as. One ought to in basic terms positioned on outfits with upscale labels. One ought to have spent a minimum of $two hundred,000 on plastic surgical treatment. One ought to abhore the less fortunate. One ought to rigidity all over the roads (because of the fact they very own the roads). One ought to be sure their acquaintances based on the size of their financial enterprise money owed. in case you do no longer qualify, they would not even permit you on their pink carpet. sturdy luck.... (I used to stay there. that's all genuine.)
Q: If I were to knit a throw rug, what size needles and what type of yarn would work best for the project?
When I was little, my dad's girlfriend knitted me a throw rug out of left over yarn from other projects. She started in the center and made a circular rug. The needles were quite large, I'm not sure if they were a 15 or not, but most likely they were. I loved it, but it slipped all over the place, so if you do make one, be sure to put some non-slip backing on it.
Q: I only need about a foot or two of carpet. 1x1 or 2x2 can i do this at home depot or something?
depending on what its for, why not check out your local suppliers, as they have remnants, left over carpet, end of rolls,or you could just buy carpet squares, like they have in office blocks
