But if you need to know its 24.4 s/y s But as a draw back you ll need to purchase a 12x 22 pc of carpet, Since it comes 12 and sometimes 15 foot wide. Q:Im looking at rugs online trying to decide what to choose.I know wool feels soft but there's also this nice rug made out Polypropylene. Is this material any softer or just as soft as wool? Thanks.: Yes its a softer fiber. Softer than your standard nylon carpet. But the drawback is that the fibers don t stand up as well as nylon and defiantly won t last as long as wool. Help!: Absolutely not, if anything an oriental rug tends to clash with the hardwood. Their intricate pattern causes too much detail clash with the wood making the room seem cluttered. A modern rug with a lesser amount of detail always works better.

Q:I just purchased an 8x11 handmade wool rug online. I am not sure if I need a rug pad under it to keep it from slipping or whatever. I've seen a few rubber ones that cost around $80 and some thicker plush ones going for over $100. Is it really worth it?: You will either need a rug pad or carpet tape to protect your new purchase from slipping and wrinkling. As to which you prefer, it depends on how plush the rug you purchased is. I have a very dense wool rug in my kitchen that is on ceramic tile and used two sided carpet tape to anchor it down. This enables me to have it vacuummed without fighting the edges with the suction and keeps it from wrinkling while doing so. It is thick enough on its own that a rug pad is unnecessary. That being said, I also have another rug under which I have a rug pad mainly to protect the flooring underneath it. It has a rough jute backing that with constant traffic will scratch the floor under it, hence the rug pad.

Q:I purchase a carpet recently near about 3 month form someday ..: If it's only 3 months old you'll be fine just vacuuming it regularly. Don't go down the road of shampooing it until it's a bit older, they're never quite the same afterwards, regardless of what claims might be made by carpet cleaner companies.
