Q: :) approximatley how many and where would you buy them :/ :) x peacce dudes
LIKE A BAJILLION!!! You can never have too many water pumps. You buy them from the water pump store on the corner of 85th and Broadway, next to the Wachovia Bank branch across the street. P.S.: Africa is NOT a country. LMAO!!!
Q: My dad bought a boat this winter and when we got it we watched the guy winterize it. He was doing this white it was running on muffs. We got the boat to run today (on muffs) but no water was coming out the pee hole. This is the first boat we have owned. We are rookies. We also don't to take it to a dealer. Is there anything we're doing wrong? I don't know for sure what year the motor is i think a 1900 something. It is 90 horse.
only replace the water impellor and housing -do no longer replace and hoses or tubes till you ought to. If the undertaking remains there after then inspect hoses. does the engine over warmth or is the water tension only low? despite if it is barely low then you definately have not have been given a blockage interior the engine possibly only the piss hose. ninety 9% hazard the recent impellor will fix it..do nto make greater artwork for your self.
Q: There is a pump, the rated power is 1200W, but only more than 600 W measured! What's the matter, please?I was not measuring no-load, pumping water in the pool, this work environment should be sufficient to pump full load? Also, is the rated power should not change?Thank you
We must first clear the meaning of rated power; rated power is called the reference numerical electrical power consumption in the voltage conditions specified, and the actual power consumption of electrical appliances is different in different situations, the pure resistance (such as lighting, electric) as long as the voltage conditions, the actual consumption of electric power close to or equal to the rated power, and for appliances like motor, electric power consumption, not only related with the voltage, but also with the relevant load. For example, someone with 200 pounds of energy, then the person in the condition of small meal, maximum load of 200 pounds, but if you take as long as he is 100 pounds, of course he relaxed, he would not say must bear 200 pounds! You measure the pump power is less than 1200W, first you did not mention your use of voltage is not rated voltage, then you don't want him full load, the suction is far less than 8 meters, there is no mention of whether you send water to 50 meters (Yang Cheng), there may be insufficient voltage, and you have don't need it so much power consumption. Of course, one advantage is that it doesn't burn easily. It is easy to burn if it is used at full load.
Q: The truck has 89k on it and i'm having the timing belt done this week; would it be wise to get the pump changed since it's in the same area, even though it's not leaking; for preventitive maintenance purposes, or is there life left in the pump? I don't want to take it back soon after if the pump does go out
Water pump life is a direct function of proper maintenance, therefore there is no real answer to your question. At 89k you could certainly elect to replace the WP as long as the T-Belt is also being done, but it is purely a preventive maintenance item. Might save you a lot of money later, or it might not. Impossible to say. It will give you more peace of mind though.
Q: new switch and new tank
Sounds like the thermal is cycling. Check it and clean out debris. (overheating)
Q: I have a 1997 mercedes 320e and it is leaking very bad. I need a temporary fix for the water pump, so that I can take it to the repair shop that is 10 min. away.
Don't try and don't listen to these idiots telling you to leave the cap off or give it a go. The engine will get hot in much less than 10 minutes and those heads are very lightweight aluminum that don't do well when overheated. Not having pressure in the cooling system is almost as bad as not having water with that engine. The easiest way is to have someone replace the pump on the spot. Otherwise, shell out the $50 for a tow unless you want to risk trashing the engine.
Q: i have a 2003 dodge neon and my thermostat keeps rising to the highes level setting off the indicator (its not broken) i did have a leak in the raiditor and it was very notice able..after pacthing is up there was noproblem till yesterday now the thermostat keeps rising i admit the is very little antifreeze in ther and the rest is water but the is the same mixture tha was in the care that it was rinning off for the last three minths i cannot seem to keep the thermostat down my raiditor is in nee of repair but i m wondering if its the water pump does the water pum help regulate engine temperture? ther are no ivsible leaks and no drippiage could it be that i just need to put antifreeze or could it be the water pump or a broken raidiator? help i will give points for best anwser but really i just need help!
All water pumps have what is called a weep hole and when the water pump seal goes out antifreeze will come out of the weep hole and stain the surrounding area. If your radiator was leaking its probably best to replace it and never use any of those stop leak products. They are more of an emergency repair to get you home until you can get the leak fixed properly. Have you changed the thermostat. When you put in antifreeze do you mix it with tap water or distilled. Distilled is always the best as tap water will leave mineral deposits inside your cooling system. Also on the thermostat they make what is called a fail open thermostat that allows for coolant flow even if the thermostat fails where as a regular thermostat fails in the closed position and will cause overheating. Always run at least a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water because it not only protects from freezing but raises the boiling temperature as well. Good luck.
Q: I have a 1994 Plymoth Grand voyager and it is loosing anti freeze it was a little leak now I can't see it leaking but it is empty could it be the water pump? It does get hot now. what other things happen when your water pump is going out does the heater not get hot anymore?
particular !! The water pump actual circulates the coolant/anti-freeze for the duration of the engine. A leak is a commonl occurance. If I had a dime for each waterpump I replaced that each and absolutely everyone started leaking coolant i would not could artwork back !! additionally, the timing belt is relatively of a good sized interest in case you're actually not a mechanic or in no way carried out it in the past. Its not in basic terms a do away with and replace interest. The crankshaft and camshafts could be placed (timed) suitable while changing the belt so as that the engine runs wisely and you do not reason any substantial injury. i could propose which you're taking it right into a professional which you believe and ask for him/her to take a glance and make a suggestion.
Q: How do you check water pump on 98 deville haveing overhea?
You can't really check the water pump except that with the belt off, you wiggle it to look for play in the bearing. When the bearing gets loose, it causes seal failure and massive coolant loss. But after 100k miles it is time to do the pump anyway. Not that hard or expensive. Do the thermostat as well, just in case. But if no coolant loss, then overheating is probably from something else, like bad plug wire, intake manifold leak, plugged catalytic converter, retarded ignition, head gasket, etc. If the radiator was not clear, then the electric fan would go on often. Not likely radiator. Depends also on when heats up. If city driving, then likely to be fan or switch. If highway driving, then plugged convertor more likely. Put cooling system pressure tester on radiator cap. Check for leaks under higher than normal pressure. See if holds pressure. Then start engine and see if cylinder leak causes oscillation.
Q: just pulled my well pipe up and installed a new foot valve will i have to fill the pipes back up with water before i can get it to pump
How To Prime A Pump: (Need: Gallon jug of drinking water, a roll of teflon tape, and an adjustable wrench or a pipe wrench.) A. Unplug pump (or cut OFF breaker box at pump, if one). B. Unscrew (counter-clockwise) the largest (3/4) plug on top of pump head. C. Wrap 2-3 flat turns (clockwise only) of teflon tape on threads of plug. D. Pour water into plug hole until full, and quickly start threads of plug by hand. E. Plug in or turn on pump, and finger-tighten plug (air and water will bubble out around threads as you do so) until pump picks up prime. Then wrench-tighten plug when it does. Repeat all steps, if necessary, until you have full water pressure and pump cuts off on its own. Good Luck!
