- NO,NO,NO! The press is not the FBI/CIA. They are journalists looking for a good story. Privacy is sacred to the American people. I am disgusted by these tabloids and the tawdry exploitation of the Hollywood elite. I don't even care if it is true or not. It is such a disgusting invasion of one's personal world. Yes, the press has the right and responsibility to report the truth but how low do you have to go?
- Q: I hurt my upper back last night while doing dumbbell shoulder presses. Today, the area is sore and is incapable of supporting much (if any) weight. Any ideas what I did to it?
- You may have used too much weight on the presses. Sometimes the body needs a rest. Are you doing these daily? You should not work the same muscle group every day. Alternate between days doing different workouts. I like to recommend the upper body work out every other day, and the lower body workouts the opposite to give the muscles a rest. Sometime when we are a little under the weather our body is telling us not to over do take it easy a day or so. Give it a couple days of rest before working out again. Sounds like a pulled muscle.
- Q: yeah im 16 and my max shoulder press is 100. is that good? im 5'5 and 125 pounds. would someones max bench press be more or less than the shoulder press?
- Your shoulder press is amazing for how old you are. Your bench press should be a lot higher then your shoulder press although it might just be that something you do in regular life is working your shoulders.
- Q: I have been working out for a long time now. I am asking this qun. to all fitness pros. bodybuilders. If Front Press worksout the front delts (shoulders) then what does Back Press do ? I generally do back press with barbell.
- behind-the-neck shoulder barbell presses work out the same muscles as barbell front press, but it emphasizes the anterior deltoids to a much greater degree than standard shoulder presses because you're doing these presses in an unfavorable position. however, front presses should not be replaced by this as a standard mass or strength builder. i wouldn't recommend doing behind-the-back presses unless you've developed some form of shoulder strength and flexibility. having a spotter to help you on the heavier sets wouldn't hurt it either.

- Uh, it's a little late for tips for tomorrow. What kind of coach determines how good a football player is by his bench press? I can show you 25 guys who can bench press a lot but wouldn't be worth a **** as football players. Are you trying out for, a bench press team or a football team? And what program has football tryouts in the middle of July? ___________ Bryce Harper - I KNOW what weight lifting's good for. I've done it far longer than you have. Any coach that picks a team based on someone's bench press is a moron. One example is, most bench pressers with shorter arms can lift more, pound for pound, than those with longer arms.
