- Q: Why is a free press essential to democracy? If there were no free press, how would you get your information? If you couldn’t trust the information, what effect would that have on your political attitudes? Can we maintain a democracy when most Americans pay little attention to political events?
- You just kind of answered your own question. Free press and the freedom of speech are essential because democracy is founded on the idea of equality, and everyone being able to have a say in politics. If there was no free press, then the public would get a distorted view of events, and those in power could manipulate ideas in their favour, and essentially control the power. I think that basically a combination of two things would happen if information was not trustworthy: One, there would be an underground network of information and news flow that would reach the people dedicated to finding out the truth. This could eventually lead to a sort of rebellion. Two, people would think what is the use of caring, if the government will do their own thing anyway? and these people would simply try to make the best of it under whatever system they were stuck with. Little political interest, I believe, is not a tragedy, at least not now. It means that people trust their government, or at least that there is no crisis of legitimacy or no major concerns. Usually there is more involvement when things take a down turn, and people are not satisfied with the current government etc. For example, the last election generated way more interest than most.
- Q: ok so i shoot a lot ammo aint cheap and i'm planning on getting all the things i need to start reloading. i've been doing some research on it it seems like something i would really enjoy doing but i need to find out more before i start shelling out $$$. when you buy a press do you have to buy dies made specifically for that press or will any dies work?
- With the exception of the Dillon Square Deal (which only uses Dillon's Square Deal dies) Every other press has the same threads as everybody's dies. So, buy the press you like and use the dies you like in it.
- Q: So I've been getting acrylics done at a salon every 2-3 weeks for a little under a year now. Today I realized I probably spend about $400 a year on these nails ($25 every time I go) and I was wondering about getting pre-glued nails, like from a drug store to maybe save money. I get the acrylics done because I work in a resturant, and my real nails used to break or the polish would chip after one shift. So would press-on nails work as well as my salon acrylics? Or would they just fall right off? How long do they last? Can I keep putting new ones right back on, like I do with the acrylics? Is it bad (well, i guess worse) for my nails? Suggestions/tips?thank you :)
- I know how u feel just recently I have stopped wearing nails and I think I will die! Also I have a cosmetology license to do hair and nails. The glue on kind r a little better for your nails than acrylics, but they will not stay on if u make it all day with out one coming off it would be amazing! Also the color will chip off allot of times if u get them to stay on. If it was me I would keep getting acrylics. I have tried both kinds. Hope this helps!

- I don't know what 20lb weights will do to directly impact your press. One exercise I like to with a 20lb or 30lb weight mainly keeps my shoulders stretched but works the abs too. If you have a bed or an ottoman foot rest next to a chair, and can lay flat with knees bent, feet flat (but not planted), and head (but not neck) dangling off, take one of those weights in both hands. With your elbows at your sides you'll form a triangle with your hands over your chest. Extend your arms up all the way, then back down. Primarily works the shoulder, but also stretches triceps and the chest muscles too. It might not be a bench press per se, but it works a different aspect of that muscle. Look for objects around the house, too. Load up a pack with some books, maybe Just be careful though because of the uneven weight distribution (in other words, if it feels awkward, don't do it).

- Q: I'm not understanding how hard you press down on your bass guitar strings. Do you need to press all the way down to the neck or just until the string touches the fret. I'm not sure cause for me pressing them to the neck seams nearly impossible and it seams more natural to press them down to the fret. Which is correct?
- Well, just depends on how you want it to sound. Is you want it rich and thick and full of open sound, hold onto it with your dear life. The less you hold it down, the more distorted it sounds.

- Q: The title says it all but to be more descriptive, I like a auto key presser software,* something like when F5 is pressed, keys number 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ,5 will be pressed by sequence with an interval of something like 2 seconds.* example:F5 is pressed.1 will be pressed then after 2 seconds2 will be pressed.then so on. If you know what I mean. :) thanks
