- Q: i am 17, 5ft8 and weights around 180, and i can bench 3~5 sets of 185 pounds for 5~8 reps. and my max is 225 pounds for 1~2 reps,, is there any way to increase my bench press? i have been bench pressed for long time. and i do rest my muscles and i also eat lots of proteins and work my whole muscle groups. is it possible for me to reach my max to 315~350 pounds?

- Q: ok..so me and my bf or ex or whattever, have been together adn living together for 4 in a half years. the past 3 weeks we have been broken up with he has not evicted me at all. lately we were getting along and then last night i came over to get some stuff and he flipped ...he called the cops saying i tried running him over and the car i am driving is getting re po soon and i wouldn't return it. I took off..( I DID NOT TRY RUNNING HIM OVER) i called him 10 mins later and he kept asking me the same thing, why did u try and run me over and i kept saying wtf are u talking about. he first told me he called the cops,. then said he didnt...later that evening he told me he did and that the cop was there the whole time on speaker, but he todl the cops he didnt want to press charges. he has no proof nor any witnesses. did they have to fill out a police report if he isn't pressing charges or can the cops still come after me? any information would be great, thanks!
- the police would have written down all the information, wether or not he decided to press charges. if he isnt pressing charges, then the cops wont do anything but the police report will still exist. if he does, then he's gunna have a hard time coming up with evidence and witnesses to back up his claim. i think that depending on how you play it out in court, the judge should favor your side. if the car was in fact supposed to be repossessed and you left with the car, that could be motive for him to make up a lie in order to get back at you for taking the car.
- Q: I've been improving in other areas of weight lifting, but cannot seem to improve on my bench press.What exercise can I do to be able to lift more?
- Dumbells Dumbells Dumbells, lift using dunbells ONLY you'll see a huge difference. Dumbells isolate the muscle. Flat, incline and decline dumbell bench. Bench press with straight bar does not isolate and there's tricks you can use to get the weight up like bouncing the bar etc. If you do chest heavy on Mondays do a cutting routine on Friday or Saturday, cutting will sculpt your pecs. Like cable crossovers Fly mach. do 1/2 the weight double the reps. I had no pecs, now I have a chest plate! so I know this works great! Good Luck

- That is a setting. I forget what it's called. But it can be turned off.
- Q: The standing barbell presses that you lift over your head, it works your shoulders. Should I stop doing this since im still growing? or is it safe.Also My friend told me that after you work out you should hang on a bar for 30 seconds to stretch your spine and you dont stunt your growth.. - PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS WARNING Standing presses do not stunt your growth. Standing presses do have a danger because this exercise puts a lot of strain on the rotator cuff of both shoulders. I had to have surgery on my right shoulder because of this so please do not ignore this warning. Before doing this exercise, you should work on conditioning of your rotator cuffs for at least 6 months. You can find exercises for this by doing a Google search. When you are ready, doing the press with dumbells with palms facing is less strain on the joint than standing presses with the barbell.

- I have 4 presses...I prefer the thermal ones, the glass ones get cold faster. Also, the 'filter' so to speak, get one that has a rubber ring around it. The ones that are metal to the end tend to let more grinds through. Also, you might want to think about how much she will be drinking so you know how big of one to get. Hope this helps

- It depends what kind of press your looking for. Having done much metal work myself I would recommend contacting Empire Machine or Northern Tool and Supply. Rayco may also be a good resouce.
- Q: The gym that I go to does not have any barbells (health and safety gone mad) for doing bench presses. But... they do have a chest press machine which is essentially the same as a bench press but you are sat up-right instead of lying down.Am I working the exact same muscle groups by doing a chest press, obviously I know it's working the pectorals and the triceps as a secondary muscle group so it is basically the same? Is either one better than the other?My other option if a chest press is not as good as a bench press, is to do a bench press in the gym just with 2 dumbbells as appose to a bar bell.Please give your thoughts...Thanks!
