- Q: Has anyone ever tried using oxyclean or any other cleaner that would work good or produce the same results as with the Rug Doctor cleaners?
- Problem being! Most rug cleaning machines can't handle sud's. If oxyclean sud's up it can destroy the machine. I don't know about mixing them...I have...used Downy in those machines to soften my rug and get rid of static.

- Find a good carpet cleaner. ;) Depends on the color of the carpet, really. Find a mild cleaner -- or even laundry soap, if you aren't sure what cleaners to use -- and put a bit on the carpet. Get a toothbrush or something that can really get in the carpet and scrub as hard as you can. Rinse w/hot water, blow dry it and see how it looks. Oddly enough, I just finished scrubbing hot sauce out of a white area rug thanks to my kid. ha!

- I agree with dusty, Carpet installation does require experience and lots of expensive tools, I would definitely have a pro do it, carpet installation is one of the cheapest flooring labor charges out there. Good Luck!

- oxy clean might work. I use this stuff called awsome it gets out EVERYTHING including blood. You can find it at the dollar store its cheap but it works wonders.
- Q: I love my cat, but she will not stop peeing on my den rug. We clean it with all the special cat cleaners to get rid of the smell and then we even tried covering the area with tin foil because cats are supposed to hate that -- she just peed around it -- in a place she had never peed before! We brought her to the vet and there is nothing wrong with her health-wise. We even block off the room, but whenever she gets a chance she finds a way to sneak in and pees! It's infuriating. We have a baby on the way, so on top of the fact that this is so gross, we can't have a cat in the house who pees wherever she feels like it once the baby is born. Any thoughts?? We've seriously tried everything!
- Ok i know this because i had a cat who peed every where. First don't buy spray that gets rid of the smell. Get spray that gets rid of the odor that cats can smell because thats why your cat pees on the rug . You could also try putting tin foil every where in that room. Try it. And deffitenly buy the spray.
