- The best way to remove paint drips from carpeting is by trimming them out. Take a razor blade and gently cut out the dry paint where the drip meets the carpet fibers. When your done, no one will ever noticed the difference. The problem you have to watch out with chemicals is that they dissolve the paint and smear it more into the carpet causing discoloration. If you get any paint drips on the carpet in the future. Let them dry. Then cut them out. The mistake most people make is that they try to clean the paint out of the carpet while its still wet, causing the paint to smear into the carpet, thus making it worse. This is a disaster when you have a light colored carpet and dark paint gets on it.

- It's a personal preference really. I do not like tile in the living room and would not buy a home that had such. As far as hardwood floors, I'd put carpet (because that is what I prefer) over it if I bought your home and would not be as big of a problem as tile.

- it mainly depends on what the fire inspector say. the more wool the carpet contains, the better the flame retardant effect is, of course. Other materials will also be flame retardant

- You can wash down the walls with a solution of TSP (tri sodium phosphate) which can be found in the paint department. Air sponges will help absorb the odour in the air. Finally, a really good primer/sealant and a good bathroom paint should take care of the problem. If that STILL doesn't work - the smell could be coming from the grout in the tiles (if any) around the toilet. In that case, lift the toilet and clean with TSP or bleach, replace wax seal, re seat the toilet and caulk around the base of the toilet. If you do use bleach and/or ammonia - DO NOT MIX THEM!!! They produce a very dangerous, nasty gas. Good luck!

- I don't think a purl stitch rug is a standard thing that would have a video. It sounds like a design made specifically for that book. The thing is, there is no need to purl a whole rug when it is generally easier to knit than to purl, and a purl is just the back side of a knit stitch. So you could knit the whole thing in whatever shape you like and just turn it over to have a purl stitch rug.
- Q: I spilled hot hair removal wax on my carpet in two places in my aparment. A. Is there any way to remove the wax from the carpet. B. If there is not a way to remove it, does the whole carpet in the room have to be replaced or just the small area? C. How much does this generally cost. I would rather just pay for it myself than have the landlord try to bill me for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
- Use some ice on the wax and try scraping off as much as possible then get several rolls of paper towels and an iron. Place layers of paper towels over the wax and place iron on lowest setting on top.Replace towels when wax comes through other side. Keep doing this until the wax is gone.
