Q: Recently I was sent a link to Yahoo answers from a client who was shocked to read the misinformation albeit well meaning answers to many questions about carpet dyeing. Carpet dyeing is a very specialized field and few have mastered the technology. I want to ask after the nay-sayers have read the correct information, if they have finally achieved the correct education to venture any kind of answer about carpet dyeing. Whether stain, spot, wrong color, outdated color, or simply color changes all can be done with perfection by a carpet dyeing expert. This is NOT a do-it-yourself type project for property owners. We have corrected many unsuccessful attempts by carpet owners and carpet cleaners who try to dye on their own. Please tell me you experience and I'll give you the correct answers. We have dyed millions of yards of carpets during the last 20 years in more than 200 locations in USA and 8 other countries. I just want people to know it is a viable option to carpet replacement.
It my no longer be that straightforward. what's the carpet created from? maximum synthetics do no longer take dyes nicely so examine the content textile of the carpet. additionally bleach could desire to harm the backing and/or the padding below so examine that for harm. the ultimate answer could be getting a sprint that carpet, slicing out the spot and putting a clean piece in. you would be stunned how solid it could look. If this is performed ideal you may no longer even tell it replaced into repaired.
Q: We have a really big area rug, and it keeps getting these huge...fold crease bulges in the same exact area...how the heck do you get rid of these for good?
Use carpet tape, even if you have a rug pad beneath it. The tape is double sided and will secure the rug to the pad so it won't shift. You can also secure it with the tape on the border of your rug to prevent shifting.
Q: Im buying a horse who doesn't come with anything, i know what else i need but i wondered what rugs i need to last me the year i have a heavyweight full neck turnout that will fit her but didn't know about medium weights or stable or fleeces? shes quite a fine Arab cross mare any help would be brill! Thanks!
Hi The type of rugs you buy depends on your climate, whether she is clipped and whether she will live in or out. A full neck turnout rug is ideal particularly if she's clipped. I usually start to rug up on 1st October. A light fleece if stabled is ideal to begin with. As it gets colder a slightly heavier quilted rug is ideal. A few lighter layers are often better than one heavy rug, that way you can remove or add layers. For outdoors you will need to make sure you always have replacements to ensure she always has a dry turnout rug. I like the weatherbeeta range. To prevent any rubbing on her chest, always put a vest on under her rugs. A tip... arabs don't particularly get a heavy winter coat, but if she's not to be clipped but worked in winter, rug her up well to keep her warm (not too warm). The extra layers will prevent too much winter hair growth. My irish draft did not like being clipped and his rugs kept his winter growth to a minimum so he was still able to work comfortably in winter without undue sweating. I hope this helps you. Q: Something that really ties the room together.
Home goods
Q: I was wondering how shark steam mop performed on carpets. does it remove stains and spots?
I don't own one, but they appear to be designed for hard flooring such as tile and linoleum. There's only a cloth at the bottom where the steam passes through. I think you'd really be struggling trying to use one on carpet. A better alternative would be a carpet cleaner, Bissell and Hoover are both good brands. Expect to pay $150-300 and up. But for a budget, I love the Little Green Machine by Bissell which is much smaller. Don't try to clean an entire carpeted area with it or you'll be exhausted! But it's great for cleaning upholstery and for picking up spills on carpet, and doesn't take up a lot of storage space. Costs around $100 and you can get it at WalMart and many other retailers. Then if you need to do your whole carpet, you can rent an extractor for around $25 (check with your local supermarket, they probably rent Rug Doctor, etc.). You can get the job done in a day and not have a bulky machine taking up valuable closet space the rest of the year.
Q: THE COLOR IS CYAN, AND THE CARPET IS BEIGE
I had just had the carpets cleaned when the next day dropped a toner cartridge on the carpet. Did not want to have it cleaned again, I tried several different substances before I found one that took all the ink out. It is a cleanser that has peroxide in it, so you could probably try using a mixture of water and peroxide on the carpet. Dab with a white towel. Do not rub, or you will be pushing the color further down into the carpet. As long as you have color coming onto the rag, you are pulling ink out of the carpet. Might take several attempts. You also might have to redo it once the carpet has dried. This is called wicking when the stain comes back up to the surface.
Q: I WON RED CARPET PASSES AND I WAS WONDERING YOU ANYONE KNEW WHAT quot;RED CARPET PASSESquot; ARE! ARE THEY TO WALK THE CARPET OR ARE THEY TO SIT ON THE SIDE? PLEASE LET ME KNOW! THANX!
i saw somewhere that you get to walk the carpet, didnt you check before entering whatever competition it was? you dont have to have a pass to be on the sides of a red carpet so you could be in luck walk down the carpet and if your old enough have a few drinks b4 you do lol.i wish i could tell u 100% but my gut tells me that u can walk it,ive seen ppl walking on the carpet who have nothing to do with the event in the past
Q: How can I get dried nail polish out of my carpet?
it's a bit tricky, coz if u'll try with nail paint remover the colour would just spread all ova.....and if the carpet is coloured it might also get faded....still try with many cotton buds and nail paint remover
Q: I have just this cheap low shag carpet in my boys room I want to put down some wood planks. I don't understand why I would have to remove the carpet, it's so low it's not plush. Not quite as bad as commercial office carpet but pretty close to it. Can't I simply install the fllor over it, what's going to happen if I do?
Only can you install laminate over carpet if it is a very short napped, glue direct to the floor commercial carpet. Any other types and the locking system will fail because of to much move ment caused by to much cushion. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. I ve attended several installation seminars as well as installed a couple 100,000 s/f GL
Q: my carpet smells really bad because i wet it smells like fart seriously. does the rug doc work and does it suck up all the water not the one i spilled the one it cleans it with? and what can i use instead of the cleaner liquid it comes with?
Yes, okorder /
